I wanted to get everyone's opinion on many of the extravagant lifestyles of today's televangelists. Is Creflo Dollar's million dollar mansion, jet, fleet of Rolls Royces and Manhattan penthouse his just reward or just excessive? What about other millionaire televangelists?

It's greed. That's all it is. It's the devil rearing his ugly head, trying to get the believers to believe the televangelists who are nothing more than voiceboxes for the devil's agenda, to have these good people send in hard-earned money so they can support a televangelist's extravagant lifestyle.

Jesus didn't say, "Look on the rich, act like them, live like there's no tomorrow."

No, He said, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven."

The televangelists who make a living out of preying (no pun intended) on generous people would do well to listen to their Teacher's words.

The answer to this question has to be, on the surface, subjective because we don't know the heart of the men and women in question.

However, there is an answer. If the person in question 'loves' money (has made it an idol) or anything that money can buy, then it they are wrong (i.e., sinful in their attitudes). However, if the person doesn't 'love' money and the things that it buys they may have simply accumulated the items in question out of reward or for some other question. Of course, it's natural to honestly question the need for a 'fleet' of cars but there may be a good answer.

The Bible doesn't condemn money -- just the love of it -- or wealth. If it did then we wouldn't have Solomon (possibly the financially wealthiest man to have ever lived) or king David (and a number of other wealthy people) listed in the Bible as godly men (and women).

Even if I find it personally unappealing to make an exhibition of wealth to the masses (and I do), I don't think it's fair to simply make a judgment call concern the wealth that is being exhibited. But, I do think it's fair that if we meet the people in question that they be asked to give an honest account for what they have and why.

I believe he is getting his reward here on earth, much the same as the man in rags on the street corner proclaiming to be fasting for the LORD.

The bible states that both these men have received their reward here on earth, and both will be truely sorry when they actually get to see what the rest of us will be experiencing for eternity.

We should pray for their soals, and for GOD to open their eyes to true worship

of course!!! look at the way Christ lived...if they were true christians their money would be poring into charities...if I made that much money I would definity give most of it away to people in more need of it than me and live in a small house or apartment.
I am christian and I have never agreed with the way they run the church like a business...read in the bible about when this same thing made Jesus very mad.

Jesus said that it was easier for a camel to pass thru the eye of the needle than for a rich man to enter heaven.

There's your answer.

They're scam artists looking to exploit the weak minded who need help to find God instead of looking within themselves to find Him.
