Religion. I don't see the purpose of any religion even atheism.
i was brought up with no religious training what so ever. I have no interest in religion. I live a free life. I do what needs to be done even if i don't like it. I live my life with integrity. I seek the truth in my self and hope the people i interact with do the same.
all the praying in the world will never accomplish anything.
all you need to do is do the right thing. or confront the challenge
and do what needs to be done.
take responsibility for your life and you will not need a god or a religion. Many people that are religious hide behind religion.
people do not need religion to know right from wrong. every human knows what is right or what is wrong. but if they are religious. it is OK to do wrong because all you have to do is ask god for forgiveness and they think it is OK. well it is not. i could go on but ........

First, Atheism is not a religion, it is an absence of belief. So your original premise is flawed and cannot be resolved.
Second, atheists have probably already asked themselves if we need spirituality and answered it for themselves. Some people do, some don't. It's not a universal need, but an individual need. And yes, some people do NEED to believe in something, especially in time of need or when alone and/or sick, and they are drawn to the concept of God, someone or something "out there" who created us and loves us, similar to a child who thrives with attentive parents.
Yes, some atheists become as ignorant and fanatical as religious fanatics... I've met them and I stay away from them. Anything to the extreme is not good for people as a whole.
If you think atheists have a lot of websites, you haven't looked for Christian websites. I swear, the Christian and religious websites outnumber non-religious websites at least 5 to 1. And there are more Christian websites calling atheists and agnostics bad, evil, untrustworthy, immoral, etc., than there are atheist websites saying similar things about Christians.
Atheism fails because people are threatened by the very idea of there being no God, no meaning to life. It is scary to think that we just ARE. There is also the saying that there are no atheists in foxholes, which has been proven untrue.
There have always been atheists and there always WILL be atheist... or as most prefer to be known, free thinkers. And again, atheism is NOT a religion.

1) Many atheists ask themselves and others that question. Some decide that it is just a crutch and not necessary at all. Others decide that some people may need such a belief.
2) I don't see how that makes atheism a religion. No one has ever claimed that a person must be free from ignorance and fanatical behavior in order to not believe in a god or gods. That's all atheism is...a non-belief of god.
3) There are websites devoted to those who love cats, dogs, model airplanes etc. Are those places of faith, no. Atheist websites exist as a place for free-thinking non-believers (and are often open to free-thinking agnostics and theists as well) to be able to voice themselves freely and discuss their various views. Some of those sites may not even require one to be a free thinker....it's just that most atheist tend to be supporters of free thought.
4) What is 'pure atheism'? are you talking about communism? If so, you are making a incorrect association between being an atheist and being a communist. There is no one political ideal supported by atheists...we are all individuals only sharing non-belief in a god as a common tie.

to your "question": no.
1) atheists ask themselves all kinds of questions, of course. why do you think they don't ask whether or not people need spirituality? it would seem that atheists have asked themselves that question rather seriously, and may or may not have arrived at "no," at least for themselves. i think it's obvious that some people, or even many people, do apparently need spirituality. however, there appear to be many also that do not.
"people in sufferance need to believe in something?" is not really a question, just because it has a question mark at the end. i'll presume you mean "don't people in suffering need to believe in something?" the answer is yes, of course. but that can very often have nothing to do with believing in a god. i, for one, suffer. and i believe in a lot of things. just not a god.
and yes, of course, some people choose to believe in a god. so what? what does this have to do with those who do not?
2.) yes. there are ignorant and fanatical atheists. has someone attempted to tell you there are not? how does this have anything to do with their beliefs or non-beliefs? it would seem that one can find examples of ignorance and fanaticism in all kinds of humans.
3) since atheists don't have a "faith" per se, you could not reasonably call an informational website or a social website based around atheism a "place of faith." that's just weird.
4) any imposed belief system, when made into law, will fail. when countries try to impose religion on people, they will find all kinds of ways to get around it. also, same goes for the Drug War, Prohibition, taxes. you name it. so what exactly was your point?
i think you need to work on your "freethinking." making sweeping generalizations doesn't usually work out very well when it comes to "challenging" anything.

I think any personal view of religion, whether it be an organized religion or atheism can be it's own religion. Atheists just choose to believe that there is no God and therefore no true right and wrong. This way they don't have to answer for any of their choices or actions. I think the fanatical atheists are more religious about it and try to 'preach' it more than many of the church going people are.

For some people, atheism is almost a religion, but I think they are rare. I disagree with your first claim. I ask that question myself, and while I think spirituality does benefit a lot of people, on a whole religion causes much more suffering that it alleviates.
Is it fair to call an atheist website a "place of faith"? Yes, if it appeals to faith. If it doesn't, then of course that isn't fair. Don't confuse passion and common interests with faith. They are not the same thing.
Number 4 is, with all due respect, asinine. Whether people want to rid themselves of religion, and whether or not a handfull of states that were/are officially atheist can enforce such a thing, has nothing whatsover to do with with whether or not it makes sense to believe in deities. I would venture to say that the vast majority of atheists would not be in favor of communism nor in favor of enforced atheism.
Why do people feel the need to call 'lack of religion' a religion? Is it jealousy? It would seem to me that if you think someone is wrong, you would want to distance yourself from them, rather than attempting to place them in the same category as yourself.

And your question is...?
Is Atheism fake religion?
No. Atheism is a lack of belief in anything without proof.
But there is something to be said for the faithfull. It can be an inspiring thing to feel that something or someone bigger than you is on your side and looking out for you. That no matter what, even if it means your death, that everything will always work out for the best. No wonder so many hold on to the tenants of religion.

Nobody needs or benefits from false hope...it's truth that sets people free, I don't find Theism is true and that's why I am an Atheist.
Atheism it is not a religion at all, it is hardly a fake one.
Atheism under the rule of a tyrant is not a measure of the worth of Atheism.

No. You're not a free thinker. Here's a question I bet you haven't had the balls to ask: If life is so painful and scarey that we need to believe in a spiritual fantasy, should we stop having children? Atheists believe what is true. A brave person chooses a course of action based on beliefs, not chosen, but objectively determined.
