Why or why not?

Yes because if you truly believe, you know that every human being is a masterpiece made by God and you treat every single person with the dignity and respect they deserve. So because I believe the above, I would not judge an openly gay minister because he is a work of God. Its that simple really. It doesn't matter who he likes or what even if he was a ex-con, he is my brother.

No, never in a million years.

Because I would never go to church.

My family's religion, the United Church of Canada, ordains gay ministers and women too. I'm proud of that, but I wouldn't touch a church with a ten-foot pole, so the answer is still no. Just not for the reason you might have guessed :)

I'm not a Christian, so I don't attend church. When I was a Catholic, one of the priests in my church was gay, at least that was the consensus of some of the churchgoers. His vocal tone was feminine, so feminine, no straight guy speaks that way. I didn't care if he was gay or not, because I assumed he was celibate and struggling with homosexuality. He wasn't openly gay, never did he mention his sexual orientation. I mean, come on, he's a priest, they don't go around saying "Yeah, I like the ladies!" or "I'm queer!"

If I was a Christian and there was an openly gay priest.......... wow, that would be a scandal now, wouldn't it? If I went to a Protestant church with an openly gay minister, I'd have to wonder why on Earth he's gay? If he's struggling with trying to heal from the sin of homosexuality, wouldn't that be kept under wraps? I mean, we're all trying to heal from the sin of this or that, but we usually don't go around flaunting it. If he's gay, I'd think he's having a homosexual relationship. In that case, I wouldn't go. Men of the cloth are supposed to live a holier life than the rest of us poor slobs because Christians look up to them. Their lives are supposed to be living examples. Struggling is one thing, something we all endure, but admitting to sin and doing it anyway, and a sin that is stated to be an "abomination" to the Lord, that's another thing. It would be like a minister who openly smokes weed for recreational purposes, or who openly admits he fornicates. I'd think twice about going to that church.

Ah, but I'm not a Christian, so I don't have to worry about it, hehe!

Not if he was active and hadn't repented of his sin. Romans 1:26, 27 makes it clear that this is sin and incompatible with Christianity.

It would be like a minister saying, "Hey, I cheat on my wife all the time. I've ALWAYS had this urge. Not only that, but I think it's good that the rest of you adulterers are being honest about who you are. After all, God is love."

This is the typical message that the Enemy has whispered to us since the beginning -"go ahead, it won't hurt anything."

The good shepherd protects his sheep because he loves them and wants what's best for them. He will tell the truth even when someone wants to hear that his/her sin is condoned.

No I would not. How could you listen to a minister that in going again God Word and against nature? Romans 1: 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: Romans 1: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Romans 1: 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

People can be straight and not have sexual intercourse constantly so I wouldn't mind sitting next to some of them providing they were not practising their heterosexual acts in church beside me and in front of my or the gay ministers face.

But I'm not Christian so there wouldn't be much point my going if it was a Christian church

Well if nobody knows then ignorance is bliss, isn't it?! If the openly gay minister feels a need to proclaim his gayness to the world and make an issue out of it, then no. Come to think of it, I would sure like to hear their perspective on Sodom and Gomorrah........

No I would not. An openly gay person is living in sin directly talked about in the Bible. A person living in sin, even if truly saved, is not having a close relationship with Jesus due to the sin in their life. They are not in any position to lead others in their christian life.

Jesus said we must be born again, by the spirit and by water.
When we are born again, we are a new creation in Christ Jesus
If a rev, preacher, pastor, priest claim proudly they are gay.
Then they are not of the body of Christ. And should not be
on the pulpit.
Same as if they were a criminal, still doing crimes, they aren't
of the Body of Christ.
SO NO!!!!!!!!
But I would pray that they would come to Know The Jesus I know!
