Just wondering how you live with yourselves and the institutionalised Christian homophobia without having bad dreams about the lives you hope to destroy and defame and for what reason?...what does it achieve?..beats me! .

Does anyone else find it odd that we Christians (I was raised Catholic) use names like Jesus, Mary, John, Peter, Paul, etc. for people whos names were really something completely different?

I mean, I don't have any idea what their names were, but I think its safe to say that none of them (ok, with the possible exception of Jesus) would have known who you were talking to if you called them by those names.

I know its due to the Bible being translated into English, but really, shouldn't their names have been important enough to make them look something like what they sounded like at least?

Anyway, just a thought that has bothered me for a while... comment or not as you like.

i mean they left the catholic faith because of the abuses but they could have converted to orthodoxy not start a new religion. and why are they still sinning against the Holy Spirit? GOD did not intend this to happen? why can't we unite to the true orthodox original church?

Do Christians realize that telling an Atheist they are going to be judged by God and sent to hell is like an Atheist telling a Christian they are going to be judge by the tooth fairy and sent to Oz?


I have recieved many e-mails from Christians wanting to save me from hell. I don't understand why Christians can not understand I don't want to be saved and I don't believe in hell. I am not trying to put down anyone for what they believe. I think we should all believe in whatever makes us happy. I am an Atheist and I am happy with what I believe, no saving needed. Thank you.

Do you think it is possible that there could be period of time between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 in the Holy Bible? Let me clarify that I do believe the literal 6-day creation of the earth as it is. But after some studying, I believe that there quite possibly could have been a space of time from the period when God actually created the earth until the time where it was without form and void and then God made the earth as it presently is and told Adam and Eve to replenish the earth.

Who believes God created man and woman of all races on the sixth day and that Adam and Eve was formed after the seventh day of rest.That Adam and Eve was the start of the blood line to Jesus. satan was always trying to taint that blood line all thru the Old Testement.

I am looking for a logical reason there must be a creator without an answer from scripture or a threat that I will go to "hell" if I don't believe.

The fact that Romans and Greeks had hundreds of "gods" that we now realize were explanations for things that we have the technology to explain has given me enough reason to think that the contemporary "god" is simply a modern explanation to questions which has as yet been left unanswered.
