the second answer (only if he can treat them equally) is right. it was sent in the Quran after a war where the Muslims lost many men. Most of them had left wives and families who needed support, so it is permitted for a muslim man 2 have up to 4 wives if he can treat them equally.

Although Muhammed had many other wives than Kaditha, the Tradition states that men can have no more than four wives, and they must be treated, equally. Although polygamy was practised in the Old Testament, it is not acceptable in modern Judaism. Saint Paul said that it was preferable to not have a wife, but St. Francis of Assisi taught that if you had trouble contolling your urges, it was preferable to marry rather than to sin.

Only if he can treat them equally if not then stick to one.
The Prophet only had 11 wives throughout his life and not at the same time because they were widows who couldnt earn for themselves or they were a way of spreading Islam to other regions i. e Africa.

1 should be enough for any body! You forget that with every wife you get a mom-in-law as well! I pity the guy who has 4 of them!

But seriously, can you possibly love 4 women? Imagine a guy saying to his girl friend. I am sure you are one of the four I love as against you are the one I love?

PS-If a man who goesto heaven gets 72 virgins, does a woman who goes to heaven get 72 virgin men? Or forcedto turn le*bo?

it really is humorous. i imagine you wan t to make a fool of your self. in the experience that your first spouse is very ill take her to a well being care service. in case you adore her you'd be stressful to lack of life for dropping her and no room for yet another love. in the experience that your first spouse can not provide delivery, you could undertake one ( in case you adore your spouse ). in the experience that your relative can not help her self she will bypass to abode guard to commence operating. in case you pick someone assisting you in existence you will get a servant without f..king her. in case you adore the hot one and do not divorce the first, you're a cheater. It does not count number it really is criminal or unlawful, dishonest is dishonest. there replaced right into a rule 1400 years in the past in Islam that adult males would have 4 different halves. likely because of many wars and diverse adult males were lifeless. Now a days women persons do not pick supporters. If a woman pretends that she needs supporter it really is because of fraud as a rule because of you money.

neither of these. a Muslim man doesn't have to have 4. he can have one if he wants to. but the max he can marry is 4. and if he marries more than 1, he must treat them all equally.

Only if he can "treat them justly," but it's not a "must."

And there isn't a single admonition from Jesus against the practice, which did exist in his time. Monogamy in Christianity was an adaptation to the Greco-Roman traditions.

i think that the men would have to treat their wives equally if they would have 4 wives!! they should because if they just stuck to one the others won't be happy about that. they might as well stick to one if they're gonna act that way!!!
