Do you think it is possible that there could be period of time between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 in the Holy Bible? Let me clarify that I do believe the literal 6-day creation of the earth as it is. But after some studying, I believe that there quite possibly could have been a space of time from the period when God actually created the earth until the time where it was without form and void and then God made the earth as it presently is and told Adam and Eve to replenish the earth.

If you read Genesis 1:28 in the King James Version of the bible (may not read this way in more recent versions), God did in fact tell Adam and Eve to replenish the earth. . . . Anyway, I just wanted to get this question out there to give you all something to "chew on". My personal belief from studying the bible is that before the earth was created in its present form Satan inhabited the earth. At that time Satan hadn't yet sinned. The Bible talks about how before his fall Satan was a great musician, he was beautiful, and God had given him many things. The Bible says that Satan had many possessions on "the ground" (i.e. earth) and that the possessions made Satan weak because he wanted more, he thought he could be like God, and he ascended from the earth into heaven to battle with God and try to overtake him. The Bible also says that Satan was then cast out of heaven into the earth (earth was already here) Ezekiel 28:13-19; Isaiah 14:12-14, Luke 10:18, Rev.12:7-9, Jer.4:23-26,Luke 4:5-7.
