I was accused of putting a picture of a woman's kid on the internet but I didn't do it and now my mom is wanting to get ahold of her or say something to this lady that I think she might regret on Judgment Day? Does anybody think she is right to do this or just let it blow over? I would never do something that I would regret especially like put a six yr old girl's picture on the internet. I don't know what to do cause I am worried that my family is going to be banned from coming to this church if my mom says something to this woman on church grounds? I need opinions on what to do about the whole situation.

It must be true. Dont say the hypocrites are not real christians. A belief is not an action. You dont even know these people to say what they're not

Face it. Your belief sucks

I think Christians (and other "popular" religions) think Atheists & other secular-embracing people abandoned religion because it was too hard or because they feel like God doesn't care about their lives.

For me, that is not true. I've had a relatively happy life - nice family, not over-the-top religious, had everything that I needed, people who cared, food on the table, etc.

What makes me reject God, is that the God of just about every religion just looks mean - creating suffering, creating hell, creating sin, creating a devil, disapproves of using knowledge and one's brain/logic, created a test that, while I am glad this life has been not to bad, offers an afterlife full of pain and punishment. I just think - what a mean, mean, mean God. To create something to abuse, even after their body gives out. To create something with an amazing mind, but punish them for using it.

Seriously - don't some of you who've had an ok life, feel like your God of the afterlife is just horribly mean?

Because you know they cannot be trusted. It sounds like a pretty good religion, but how do I know he won't turn his back on his followers on judgement day, and let the Jews in, instead?

I feel as if I have been created as a very beautiful and goddess like child of God. The Bible says that through Jesus I am recreated in Gods image. Then that makes me a little child like goddess daughter of His. I feel it every second of the day. Why wouldnt I be one ? I dont take any credit for it any more than a painting claims to have painted itself.I am simply as he is... " I am ". Isnt this a way of saying I exist and Im a beautiful portrait..one thats not of my making ? Do you comprehend this statement>>> He is lovely..He is beautiful...He is so beautiful and He has carved me out of Himself ? . . Also..." In Him I am...I am...in Him...I am..." If you do..please comment ?

So many diferent religions, so many diferent Gods. Countries battle even now to find out what Religion and God is better. What makes a human better to be linked with something hard to see? Why people turn blindly into a religion instead of finding out the reason why everything is here and why we are trying to be human.
Why is the human so limited to realise that there is more than a God and a Religion? Id love to read your awnsers. Thx!

According to Edgar Cayce Jesus is the Second Adam. Is this not a biblical reference? I'd appreciate your thoughts and opinions, the more detailed the better.

The bible promotes so many things that we now deem horrible acts... such as slavery and prejudice... should we really look to a book like that for guidance?

I'm talking mainly about the catholics out there that make fun of the mormons or hinduists (or any other religion) because they can't understand how someone could believe such a stupid religious story. Don't they understand that the story of god and jesus is just as hysterical as the other stories?

If you told a child with Christian parents that there was an angel living on the roof, he would believe it but a child being raised by atheist parents would probably not believe it. A child being raised in a Christian home is more likely to be delusive because they like to mock the adults. They become programmed to start believing in things that are fake. On the other hand, A child being raised in an atheist home is less likely to be delusive and less like to believe in fake things because he would be mocking atheist parents

Because if “good” is really a product of evolution, then it has no deeper meaning or significance beyond the practical necessity of survival and keeping order in society. Humanity would just be a pretentious diversion from the meaninglessness of your lives in the grand scale of the universe. What gives humans the right to decide what is “good”? People wouldn’t have any more right to live on the earth than other creatures. Anyway, the earth would probably be a better place without humans to destroy the environment. Human standards of “good” are subjective and subject to change through time and among different cultures. Their only worth comes from what that society thinks of it, not because the laws of the universe or science have any regard for “good” or “bad”. An earthquake doesn’t care who it affects; it’s just part of the process of creation. If there is no god and humans aren’t going to be around forever, then even fame and accomplishments are simply ways of postponing the
