Israel is ticked off over the ambush of Israeli soldiers last week that resulted in the capture of 1 Israeli by radical Muslim Palestinians. If American presidents had shown the same resolve when the USS Cole was bombed or when the WTC was bombed the first time (back in the 90s), might 9/11 have been avoided? Are you ticked off that the Bush administration and other nations are denouncing Israel's actions?

Yes I know these are loaded questions, but feel free to disagree. 10 pts. goes to the best explanations for your beliefs.

I've wondered about this for a while but I didn't post it sooner because I didn't want to appear to be a troll. I think most people here can see that I'm not a troll, so I feel more confident in asking it. It's a genuine question.

I understand that a principal tenet of Islam is that the human body was optimally designed by God. Yet as far as I know, Islam requires people to remove all of their body hair. This seems like a contradiction to me. Is the idea of shaving body hair from the Qur'an or the Hadith or somewhere else? What is the rationale behind it?

What's wrong with the people that said that the moslems worsips a pagan moon god?!! from what hole of lies did you guys dig this
info, Right now, I'm a moslem and I'm NOT worshipping a moon god!!
The word GOD in Arabic is ALLAH.
you can ask all the moslems in this world .

Here's a verse from The Holy Qur'an:

"And from among His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Do not bow down (prostrate) to the sun nor to the moon, but only bow down (prostrate) to "Allah" Who created them, if you (really) worship Him." [Quran 41:37]

They ask you about the new moons. Say: These are signs to mark fixed periods of time for mankind and for the pilgrimage (Qur'ân 2:189).

The word "Allah" literally means itself, "The only one worthy to be worshipped".

"Say: ‘Call upon Allah, or call upon Rahman: by whatever name ye call upon Him, (it is well): for to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names....‘"
[Al-Qur’an 17:110]

See?

Why can't god destroy the devil? Does god like having an enemy? God just had to send Jesus down to get beat and tortured. How nice. He couldn't find a more peaceful way to die for your sins(murder, rape ect). What kind of mentally stabled god would give us free will and turn around and have us punished for it? How could our lives be predestined if we have free will? If god knows all, Why didn't he expect eve to bite the apple? God screwed up or he wanted to screw things up. God must need medication

How about a black goat with red irises in the shape of pentagrams? Or a raven that sings church hymns backwards? Or a transvestite monkey that likes to watch reruns of the flying nun while wearing extra tight fitting baby diapers?

One of the commandments states that God is a jealous God and there shall be no others above him. How can people put Christ above him, and offer everything to Jesus or pray to Mary.

Oh and how come no one ever prays to the holy spirit?

Christians claim that their faith is the righteous one and believe in the new testament in the bible, but scriptures are still being found by archeologists. Muslims believe that their belief is the righteous one. Mormans, Jews, buddhist, catholics, scientology and thousands more believe the same about theirs. Either man is really confused or is there really the correct faith, belief, and/or religion?

j/k everyone feel free to answer.

This section of this forum is for everyone, so why the "Christians only!!!" questions?

It alienates others, and it is rude... very very rude.

I can answer many "Christians only" questions that I have seen lately...

For instance, this is a popular one... fave Bible verses.

My favorite Bible passage is the 23rd Psalm, because it is just beautiful poetry, with peaceful imagery. I love it.

Point is, many of us have been Christians, and we understand everything you are talking about. Many of us know the Bible well and even enjoy parts of it as well as parts of Christian wisdom/philosophy.

Why limit your answers and therefore what you might learn?

Besides, just as Christians are reading this and will likely answer, so will non-Christians when we see, "Christians ONLY!" So, what's the point?

That's why, if I wanted to pose questions to agnostics only, I'd go to an agnostic forum.
