I've wondered about this for a while but I didn't post it sooner because I didn't want to appear to be a troll. I think most people here can see that I'm not a troll, so I feel more confident in asking it. It's a genuine question.

I understand that a principal tenet of Islam is that the human body was optimally designed by God. Yet as far as I know, Islam requires people to remove all of their body hair. This seems like a contradiction to me. Is the idea of shaving body hair from the Qur'an or the Hadith or somewhere else? What is the rationale behind it?

Islam advices Muslims to be clean externally, internally as well as spiritually. Only unwanted filthy hairs are asked to remove and nothing more than that. Removing hairs of all body parts is nor recommended.

Allah's Apostle said,"Five practices are
characteristics of the Fitra (Tradition of Prophets) : circumcision, shaving the pubic hair, cutting the moustaches short, clipping the nails, and depilating the hair of the armpits." (Bukhari)

convinced, you need to take your hair thoroughly off and be sparkling like a Muslim and by no skill unclean like the mind and OMAR. only trim the hair down there and attempt to continually save your self sparkling, thats what's asserted in the Quaran.
