In the United States there are reports that approximately 80% claim to be Christian. However, that total includes Catholics who are not Christian as well as some other groups. To be a Christian you must be a Believer in Christ for the forgiveness of sins. Believe that he is the Son of God. Died on a cross for all of man kind's sins. Then rose from the dead three days later. Jesus is The way, The truth, and The life. No one comes to the Father but by him.

Can of worms, anyone?
People have many definitions of the term "Christian"...most people who claim to be "Christians" will tell you how they are right and every other group of "Christians" are not really "Christians" at all, because they disagree with "true doctrine" Wow, Jesus really did send us a sword of division!
So, what is a Christian, anyhow? I believe a Christian is a disciple of Christ, nothing more, and certainly nothing less. A disciple is a student, not a master.
As for me, I'm still learning.
