Fulfilled prophecy. For example: In Ezekiel 30 verses 10 to 13, a prophecy over 2500 years old, God said that there would no longer be a prince OF Egypt. For over 2500 years Egypt has not been ruled by an Egyptian. In Ezekiel chapters 26 through 29 there are prophecies concerning Tyre (a city that was then about the size of New York City today) and Sidon (the mother city of Tyre about 30 miles to it's north). In the prophecy about Tyre God said that He would make it like the top of a rock. The original city was about a half mile off the coast of Tyre. The new Tyre, on the mainland had never been defeated in a war. Their city was considered impregnable. It was 1500 years old when the prophecy was given. The original city was surrounded by walls that were 20 stories high. 300 years after the prophecy was given Alexander the Great breached the walls of new Tyre. The people fled to the island. It took Alexander 3 years to scrape all the soil off of New Tyre but he made their island a peninsula, breached those walls and destroyed them. Check any good encyclopedia. If some atheists want to disprove God's existence all they have to do is rebuild Tyre because God said it would not be a city again. For that matter God said that about ancient Babylon in Iraq too. They could rebuild that.

I think this is a personal issue for everyone, but I found solace in the writings of the Baha'i faith (which believes in the harmony of science and religion). Before that, I would say I was an atheist.

Scientifically, I have been doing some research into quantum physics. The Baha'i faith says science will one day prove the existance of God. To this day, it certainly has not disproved it.

Creationists say that in the beginning, God created light. Astronomers say that the big bang began with a great burst of light. I don't see any conflict in believing in both.

I believe in Jehovah God because I can see the beauty in all of his creations. I am legally blind due to a birth defect, and due to this I have studied the eyes in particular in my study of anatomy. I think that th e eye is one of the most amazing things in the entire world. Its a miracle of creation. And just think- its only a PART of our body!! We also have the EAR!! and the NOSE! And the TONGUE! And the HEART and so on... its endless when you think of it in the larger aspect of the entire world, it can beoverwhelming, and then think of the solar system and then the universe it can almost make a girl faint!! To think that something as amazing as all of THIS could have evolved is the biggest joke on the planet. OF COURSE THERE IS A GOD!! And what a kind and wonderfully loving God he must be to have made such a wonderful and beautiful planet , nay!< UNIVERSE! lol, For us to enjoy!! I see pictures from space of other galaxies and stuff and it makes me want to be a comet....shooting thru space.... wow.... Yeah, I believe in God with all my heart and its just because of everything I see around me. Look at a pansy or a daisy , up close and personal. Watch a lady bug one day and tell me if you can still seriously think that evolution is mor ethan a crock of baloney. God has wonderful blue prints !!

The question should be 'do' you believe in God. Personally I feel religion is nothing more than a pacifier for the emotionally unstable; an excuse for intolerance, and a way out for those that cant face their 'sins' or the inevitability of death and finality. I feel sorry that they cant find the strength to stand on their own, acknowledge the consequences of their actions without the promise of forgiveness, and live morally righteous lives without having the pride to acknowledge themselves for it. God and religion are 'an opiate of the masses' and do give the un-educated a purpose, but I feel there are plenty of other fairy tales out there to base your life on; if that is what you think you need.

Yes, why? Let's start with creation, big bang theory, nah, why hasn't it happened again? Evolution, nah, why? Why hasn't it happened again.

Man and woman, brought together by God and given power over the earth and the animals, yes, why? it's happened over and over and over and over and over again.

Some people say, "do you feel guilty." Well, guilt is just a word that the secular world uses to define the internal feeling of when you are wrong about something or done something wrong. Guilt is in fact actually God speaking to you and nudging you and letting you know that something is not right with something you have done. Why would we feel such a horrible feeling if we were not brought up in church or if we didn't believe in God. Even atheists feel guilt about things, even about lying and stealing and adultery.

Sorry to go on so long, these kinds of questions excite me.

I believe a Higher Power greater than myself has lead me through this life. I also believe a Goddess energy is present. My own experience is what matters most to me and I don't believe there is only one way to God, so I do not preach to others. Everyone is entitled to the validity of their own experience....that is what makes anything real to me and people I am close to.
