I approached my momther about asking her to send me to a performing arts high school (boarding) and then she told me that. But my voice lessons teachers and every1 else tell me i can sing. It really breaks my heart that my own mother doesn't even believe in me and my dreams.

Just seeing if anyone is on their toes, or if its true and people dont know why they are christians at all. Are you taking it on the fact that Jesus said so, or do you know the prophecies that he fulfilled.

I have nothing against religion, but not everybody believes in "god" or whatever else, so why keep going on about it? Sorry if i offend anyone, but ive had enough of the religious belief system..

Snakes are supposed to be the right hand of Satan, so why did Noah protect them so they would not be extinct. If they weren't on the ark, then they would have drowned and been extinct forever. Wouldn't the evil snakes have corrupted everything else on the ark?

I am an athiest, and I can support this. It is said that God can see the future, and God everything that happens in the universe is God's will. Well if this is true, then God created Satan. He saw what Lucifer would turn into, but he still gave him life. That is only one of the the reasons that I do not believe in God. Some others are that he has never been seen or heard.

I have been told that some people in Biblical times were just SOOO evil that God had to flood/burn/stone/plague them to death. First of all, how did they get so evil in the first place? Did Satan turn two snakes into a thousand evil snakes like Jesus did when he turned two fish into a thousand fish? And then the evil snakes convinced everyone to be evil? If God is so powerful and loving, it seems like he would be able to be a good mentor and lead these people to be good. But instead he just took the easy road and murdered them like a failed science experiment. And now he takes everyone that looks at him the wrong way and dumps them into the lake of fire for all eternity. Isn't that just tragic?

ok, I'm a christian but feel like a hypocrite sometimes. I feel this way because I listen to old rock music (i.e. Janis Joplin, The Rolling Stones, The Doors....). I am a christian and people can tell in the way I carry my self and the way I act. I just have this one weak spot; music. Is it ok?

Especially in matters as important as their Religious or Spiritual Beliefs? I realize that it is hard to be convinced by anyone that does not have sufficient proof, but most people can't even admit when the other guy 'has a good point' or when 'their MIGHT be a possibility'. I've always thought that Humanity had two major flaws...

1. Anybody can say anything anywhere, anytime no matter how wrong they are, how big of a lie it is, or how little they actually believe what they're saying. If a person wanted to, Hell, they could just start spoiting out random words and sounds with no meanings whatsoever.

and

2. Humans have a very limited scope of awareness, so they can't see how much pain they cause themselves by being so Prideful, pompus, and arrogant.

The more I come in here, the more I realize that anarchists are unpleasant little people that make for terrible company.

I had a pastor who bragged about his wife all the time in church and it bothered and annoyed me. I mean, we're here to hear the word of God, not his wife. Its ok to lift up your wife every once in a while, but you shouldnt do it every Sunday. I mean c'mon, you have alot of christians who are single, divorced and separated in the congregation and a pastor should recognize that. But thank God, I dont go to that church anymore, I go to a more decent church where the pastor only lifts up Jesus, not materilistic things and that's the way a church should be.

Of all the wonderful things that Jesus did and said when he walked this earth, the jews had no problem with - except one, his identity. They couldn't except that he is trully the son of God. This is what led to him being hated even to the point of being killed. They reasoned with him when he asked them, " Of the good things that I've done for which do you want to stone me?". Their answer was "For a good work we don't stone you, but you being a man make yourself equal with God".

They just couldn't reconcile with him on the very important issue - his identity.

But why? Why really?
