God doesn't need to stand or sit because He is Spirit. However, Holy Scripture refers to God's Throne. Thrones are for sitting on. Also it refers to Jesus as "Seated at the right hand of God the Father", so I conclude that He does sit, and if that is correct, He probably stands, too.

God prefers we sit when we think, we stand when we sing and we kneel when we pray. If these rules aren't followed to the letter. God will be angered and then we'll all be in big trouble.

Neither. God's creatures stand and sit, but God is unlike us, so He doesn't stand or sit. What He does, we don't know, but He has no need to stand or sit.

There are Bible references to God (and/or Jesus) being seated on a throne. I don't know of any references to God standing.
