John 10:34-36; It is not people that say it, but they will have to repeat what Jesus said for any one to hear it said,
The LORD God Matt,22:42-45; said to the Lord of David, sit thou on my right hand until I make thy enemies[Satan and his angels] thy footstool, Jesus in Heaven, to Satan and his angels will be on earth. Rev,12:7-12; Jesus as savior of the world has to have some rank in power, John 20:17; His God and his Father is Almighty Power and can call Jesus God[to his rank and power], if he so desires as in Heb,1:1-13l Isa,9:6,7; in turn Jesus can call them gods to whom the word of God came. John 10:34-36;
Satan made Eve a promise that she would be like gods[sons of God that are angels and do not die Luke 20:34-36]; he lied, and angels saw the earth become the focus for domestication Job 38:4-7; John 17:3,5,24; Jesus was with God before the world was.
Satan said she would not die, but she did. Psm.115:15-17; 146:3.4; Dead is dead. 2Cor.4:3,4; Satan is the god of this world and he has a limited time Heb.2:9,14,16; Jesus has already paid the price to be able to end the one that caused death and is a liar. John 8:44;
1Cor.15:22; As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive,
Jesus has the power to do away with Satan and restore the original plan that was before him in Eden when all was perfect. 2Pet.3:13; Rev.20:1-6; it will take him 1000 years to do so. 21:1-5; so 6,130 for Satan and 1000 for Jesus ends 7,130 from Eden and 49,000 years since earth becam the focus for domestication and it already existed [possibly billions in time] before it became the focus for all we know that has been.

Ah, but look what came first. Gen. 1:27. No, we can't be a God, but we are in some fundamental way like God, and we should always strive to be more so.

God...
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness...
Given that God IS everything (the whole of creation) and everything at it's core IS pure energy and we are ALL small particles of the whole of creation, then we are, not 'a' god, but ALL God!!
Following; God's Divine law of creation! ;)
Not a lie my friend, just a misunderstanding...

Lucifer, also called Satan, first tried to take God's place in heaven. It was the first act of rebellion. God threw him out of heaven and he now roams the earth seeking whomever he can kill and destroy.
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground....
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High...

God was the first!
1jo 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
