have abortions? Ok, I know that I am probably going to get slammed here, but I have an explanation, here it is: Women who have abortions who try to have a baby later on, typically find it very hard to carry the baby. And women that have had more than one abortion, most likely will NEVER be able to carry a baby. I am not saying ALL, there are people I am sure that has successfully had kids after an abortion. But, for the many women who found that they couldn't, isn't that like a punishment from God, for murdering one child? It's like they were entrusted with one baby and they killed it, why would they be entrusted with another one?

That's why you see so many discreding remarks about morman, Jehovah's Witnesses, Adventists and other Christian faiths, including catholics. The idea is to divide and conquer. It said that the christians fight all the time, turn them against each other.
fLike in Ireland prostants and Catholics. Don't let them do it.
Let's stop tearing each others christian faith down.

all day i see athiest answering and questioning in the religion category....they sit theyre and call chrstians hypocrits.....when not even understanding our religion and making fun of it.....the reason we believe in good and do bad IS our religion...we are meant to, and WILL sin....from time to time....i think theyre here to try to change our way of thinking....and the reason they say atheist are so angry all the time...is cause they cant break us....thats the answer....also there are 3 things you will never when an arguement with and that is ...... RELIGION.....POLITICS.....and TOUGHEST TRUCKS(which would be chevy btw...lol)....so all u athiest out there looking in religion Q&A....what are u looking for?....an answer?....it right in front of u....book of books....

is it really cuz you believe what the religious leaders say or you have researched the bible and it tells you that its sin. "Happy is the man who does not condemn himself in what he approves.." Romans 14:22 God gave us these organs and sexuality why would it be wrong for you? Are you afraid to make choices for yourself if love was your motivation and what I mean by that is loving God is not whether you masturbate or not, go to church or not, pray everyday for 2 hours or not. Do you know the meaning of Grace and how Jesus came and fulfilled the law so we are not condemned and bound by law, but we are governed by love. Love wouldn't commit the ten Commandments or the "7 deadly sins" or anything to hurt anybody. If you don't approve of masturbation then its wrong for you if you think you will revert to porn, promiscuous sex then dont do it. But when you add to God's law and tell someone that its wrong, is that really your place?

The reasoning behind the question is say for instance we both have an equal chance of being right (50/50 if you will). If you are right what have christians lost by being christians? Besides maybe living a lifestyle that in the end might have benefitted them the most. But if christians are right then what have you lost? Heaven, knowing a perfect, loving entity. Seems like quite a gamble to me. Just wondering about the reasoning from the opposing side

Catholics can be Christians but Christians can not be Catholic. Christians do not pray to saints, or mother mary or seek confession through the booth. Nor do we see communion the same way.

would you agree, that the regulars who use this site, are some of the most interesting and intelligent, from all sides of the spectrum of thought,

there are some exceptions of course, not everyone is interesting and intelligent, some not all but some are very dull and boring,

but as an overall, i find i come back here because most, not all, but most are intelligent and interesting, sometimes i make them think and they make me think, most times i make them laugh and they make me laugh,

i just wanted to know if anyone else feels the same way

Will someone remind these guys that evolution is still only a theory! We all know that scientist only deal in facts and absolutes. There is no hard evidence that evolution is fact. But today’s scientist chooses to treat evolution as fact. It is rare that we hear the phrase “evolution theory” anymore; it’s mostly referred as evolution. Science contradicts itself trying to explain evolution. How could a world full of may species of plants and animals that depend on each other to survive, come from a single celled organism that deepened on nothing? Without air you do not have the mammals, and without plants you do not have air. What about male/female, how did this design come from a simple organism? Many of today’s scientists have converted to Christianity, because of the many missing pieces of evolution and the evidence of a designed creation. Why do so many other scientist refer to evolution as fact? Such hypocrites!

For many of us this is an important holiday. Are you doing anything special? Midsummer is my birthday, so I'm going out with my family, and then we're having a small ritual at my friend's house (not sure what'll be going on, it's his Anglo Saxon show, I'm excited about it.) and this weekend I'm going to a festival in Southeast Michigan and I'll be hosting a workshop. Let's take another look at this.

1. Unaided, we can only see a narrow spectrum of light. Infrared and below is undetectable, ultraviolet and above undetectable- and wavelengths continue in each direction into infinity.

2. We can only feel a certain density of matter. We can barely feel air, the only thing keeping you from putting your hand through the wall is the difference in density.

3. All of our senses feed into our mind, which we can not define beyond electrical impulses. We create a model of what the world is in our own imagination based on the very limited imput we can sense.

So my question to you is, Did God create a lump of dirt for us to stand on, or do we create it every day when our minds awaken and start smashing random information together into a model we can comprehend? Seems like all he had to create was us, and we do the rest.
