Let's take another look at this.

1. Unaided, we can only see a narrow spectrum of light. Infrared and below is undetectable, ultraviolet and above undetectable- and wavelengths continue in each direction into infinity.

2. We can only feel a certain density of matter. We can barely feel air, the only thing keeping you from putting your hand through the wall is the difference in density.

3. All of our senses feed into our mind, which we can not define beyond electrical impulses. We create a model of what the world is in our own imagination based on the very limited imput we can sense.

So my question to you is, Did God create a lump of dirt for us to stand on, or do we create it every day when our minds awaken and start smashing random information together into a model we can comprehend? Seems like all he had to create was us, and we do the rest.

i am not sure of what faith background you come from, but i believe, there is a God, and that he has created us just like him. Now i know some people look realy ugly, that does not make God ugly, it is our reaction to each individual that makes us human. And because we are born, we die. Just like if there is a start, then there is an end. All that our mind is there is for us to remember and appreciate and look around us and see that we are luckier then most of the others and thank the God that ceated us for what he has given us and for what he has not.

all he did was create us and the planet. WE have to do the rest. if you were handed everything in life wouldn't you get bored after a while. if you never had to work for anything would u really learn about anything...i don't think so. i think God realized this and decided to make us work for certain things. like this computer i'm typing this answer with. it wasn't available back in 1290. so people devoted their time to figure out how to make a computer and now we have computers. someone had something to do for a while....someone wasn't bored for a while. so to answer your question...yes God created a lump of dirt for us to stand on and we have to create everything else that we want.

There is an ordered universe where the sun rises and sets and the planets orbit the moon. Humanity can co-create in the unverse each day.

Wow, that's a very well articulated question, considering that this is Yahoo! Answers and half of the people here cannot spell properly.

I don't believe in God though, so I guess I can't exactly answer the question.

You have some interesting thoughts on life. Don't let some of the crazy people who responded let you stop what your doing. You may not be able to prove it yet, but how can they prove you wrong?

i like the way you think.. it may be only in our minds-- and it may only be in your one mind.. and no one else could exist but you.

but the way i think about it is.. if this is all in my mind, then i need to figure out why i'm thinking it.. there's got to be an end game
