is it really cuz you believe what the religious leaders say or you have researched the bible and it tells you that its sin. "Happy is the man who does not condemn himself in what he approves.." Romans 14:22 God gave us these organs and sexuality why would it be wrong for you? Are you afraid to make choices for yourself if love was your motivation and what I mean by that is loving God is not whether you masturbate or not, go to church or not, pray everyday for 2 hours or not. Do you know the meaning of Grace and how Jesus came and fulfilled the law so we are not condemned and bound by law, but we are governed by love. Love wouldn't commit the ten Commandments or the "7 deadly sins" or anything to hurt anybody. If you don't approve of masturbation then its wrong for you if you think you will revert to porn, promiscuous sex then dont do it. But when you add to God's law and tell someone that its wrong, is that really your place?

So have you read the verse that says. . .do we sin more that grace may abound?

See, first of all, we're not under the law of love. . .we're under GRACE. 'For by grace are you saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God that no man may boast.' And we don't excuse sin to make room for more grace. Instead, we're supposed to be ashamed of sin, shun it, run from it even, and live sin free. What's the first commandment? Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. The second? Love your neighbor as yourself. That leaves no room for self love or self gratification. In fact, the Bible says to let NOTHING be done out of selfish desire.

Secondly, if you try to excuse sin with the Bible it will bite you.

God gave us 'these organs and sexuality' so that we can "multiply and fill the earth" not roll around in our lusts and fulfill our own self gratification. Haven't you heard of self control? It's a fruit of the Spirit. . .which means it shows up when you have God in you. Sex is meant for two people, man and wife, to enjoy the ultimate intimacy with the ultimate committment. . .no exceptions.

God rewards us based on our intentions. Your intentions are not known except by you and only by God.

If your intentions are good and your actions (The resultant of your intention) are good, you will be rewarded by people and by God.

If your intentions are good, but your actions went wrong (because you do not know what is the right to do or by mistake), people would judge only what they see, but God will forgive you.

If your intention is bad and did not result in bad action, they people will not know and God will not punish you.

Based on the above formula,if you masturbate because you afraid that you can not control your God given desires(and go slepp around), then you will not be punished for that.

And experienced persons know that masturbation becomes not that satisfying after a while because something will still be missing, because the greatest joy is intercourse because God is offering the best for the best.

Finally, if you can control your desires and this is hard as everything in life, your rewards from God will be maximized as good can be rewarded by up to 700 double.

good day there, in the beginning masturbation does not have something to do with how lots money or fabric property you have. all of us has needs, truly sexual needs and in case you're no longer having intercourse then masturbation is the subsequent maximum suitable ingredient. i've got heard some people experience guilt from doing it even yet it truly is all very organic and you truly shouldn't experience to blame approximately it. each and every person masturbates, sure even actors and your acquaintances :p. possibly those acquaintances basically decide to pose and act as though they are too proud to admit it. they decide to look "intense type" and prevalent. desire I helped!

I like your use of this passage. I have never thought of the application of it to masturbation. I agree if you think from your knowledge of scripture that masturbation is wrong than don't, but if you don't think is wrong then do. Paul goes on to say whatever you believe keep it between yourself and God. However Paul wasn't referring to masturbation he was referring to eating food sacrificed to idols, so apply when applying it masturbation you should be careful. I think that general Christian thought on masturbation comes from old geezer thinking. "My Great Grampa said I would go blind if I did that." We are governed by grace but Paul says in the very chapter you quote that "everything that does not come from faith is sin." Paul also says that everything is permissible, but only some things are profitable. I happen to think that masturbation is not by default a sin. But it is very easily accompanied by lustful thoughts and pornography is it not. Those thing are more easily qualified as sins.

it is between you and God, not what church people think, not what moma thinks, it's between you and God. so you pray and see what God would have you to do concerning your sexuality...that's the best way to figure this out because in the end what yahoo answers say has nothing to do with what God is asking you to do ....especially if they aren't praying or giving you an answer that is thought of in order with the Word of God. look up sex in the bible, look up women in the bible, and pray and God will give you a yes, or no, and you'll know which it is. God Bless.

I agree with you that God gave us sexuality. However, since He gave it to us, He also has the right to tell us how to use it or not use it. God has ordained sexuality to be expressed only between a man and a woman who are legally married. Any other use of this power, including masturbation, is sinful.

If you're doing it or thinking about it all the time, if it iterfers with a healthy normal life, then yes it is wrong. Kinda like being an addict of any kind. GOD has alot more things going on than to sit around worrying about someone doing this.

The sex drive is a powerful urge and must be dealt with.

Since we forbid fornication, masturbation is the only other outlet.
