Actually, my child, atheists SHOULD be in this category. The believe in nothing, which is still a belief. They provide a negative view to the views of the Christians and other believers of God. They have freedom of speech and within that is the freedom to disagree. I don't always approve of the language they use, but that goes the same for some of the Holier-than-Thou Bible Thumpers. For an accurate look, you need more than one view.

Yay! My favorite question popped up again! No wonder I broke 10-K points! :-D
Many atheists are ex-christians---they were christians through and through. Then gradually or overnight, they had to redefine what they believed and found that christianity no longer helps them spiritually. So I would not assume that atheists know nothing about christianity, sweetie. ;-)
I have the NT and the books of Pslams/Proverbs on my bookshelf. I do a bit of research on the KJV at a website when I get curious about something. And I am still a spiritual atheist.
I am here cuz I like to read answers and questions about the various religions of the world. I want to learn about differing Paths in the hopes I might learn something that might help me in my Eclectic Path. :-) I have learned so much here, sweetie, why would I want to leave?
I answer questions to give the other side of the equation, as well, to give a well-rounded answer to a question. Atheists have answers too, to life. :-)

Bible is right coz bible says so. Keep beliving so some ppl can make money out of you. Its easier to control fools then smart ppl. But no need to udnerstand. I am an agnostic and i would love to see every one unites under Cristian GOD . THen i can sell any kinds of stories to ppl who can't even realise thier daily lifes.
And if you manage to even pay attention sometimes to answers you would see that athiest answers have better analyses and education. But to start realising that you need answer to your self.
What are the 10 commandments? without looking into the bible.
Who discover that Jesus tomb was empty. And when you see how easy for you will be to answer that then you will realise who's right or wrong.

Would it be okay if I read your thoughts on religion?
I watched Shrek and I don't beileve in Ogres, talking donkeys or cats.
I don't say that to mean that I think your POV is cartoonish but instead to say that I am intreseted in your POV. I think that is the beauty of open forums on the internet.
Most people who don't believe in God that I know did at some point in their life. You should take a moment to and ask the question, instead I will post it. Here you go http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20060620112827AAN9U8z&pa=FYd1D2bwHTHwIbpuFuI6QZsK4ZcXjYH5PlzKjwYJHzRJbQXUViyzTSZ560QZL8YJ_Z8tzCdur8mGRQ--
The purpose of these forums is so that we can all learn from one another.

Did i flow out in seek of advantages? NO, they have been compelled upon me. So I basically flow on residing my life, meet somebody , fall in love and then BAM, i'm no longer allowed to marry this individual nonetheless after 14 years with the aid of fact a marginally great team of ignorant bigots gathered money and lobbyed in Washington D.C. so as that they could have a say in how I run MY life. So thats in user-friendly terms 2 examples of ways faith does not flow away me on my own so cope with IT ! !

We're out to help others open up their minds a little. That doesn't mean to convert them to atheism, or at least that's not what I'm trying to do. All I want to do is help others know more about Christianity (odd, I know, but I know a fair bit, as well as some gnostic stories to add some backround to their beliefs) and to crush some of the stupid beliefs about atheists, like that we're evil and things like that.

Being an atheist or agnostic has no bearing on whether one can maintain an interest in theology and religion. To think otherwise is sheer arrogance on the part of elitist Christians (among others).

Yahoo pays atheists to pump sense into their forums.
Ha! j/k.
Because religion is still interesting to those who deny belief in it. Religion and myth is part of the human experience. Even before Christ, Muhammad, and the rest, there were zeus, hermes, ra, and other gods long forgotten. Humans create myth for a reason, and still we do this.

Why are Christians so into atheist. Perhaps a doubt in religion. Why would a 'god" let good happen to the bad and bad happen to the good. Even in your worst of life when you think things could not get more bad you still call his name and what do you get...........nothing.

I really doubt that athiests are trying to "break" christians. I think people are answering in this category just as they do in all of the categories. Being: sometimes as they feel is honest, sometimes sarcastic, sometimes offensive. This is the nature of Yahoo! Answers. You are free to leave at your own will, but we are staying.
