That guy who asked that question you're talking about was confused. If anyone really does think that, it may be because we avoid, or should avoid, many sins that the world thinks are perfectly OK. Maybe they mistake our healthy "fear" (submission and reverence) of God, for a general unhealthy fear of life.

Don't worry about what others think or say here. If you hear something you do not agree with, then you do not agree and that is Ok. Many are going to say things which do not fit with your own personal beleafs. Which is why they are personal beleafs. We each must find that which works for us, that which we come to beleave is true and right. If someone else has a different view for their own personal lives, that is Ok.
Listen, there are many who believe any religion is a crutch for those who are afraid to see that life is just what is happening right now and when we die that is the end. The reason they need to say those with different beleafs are afraid, is due to their own need to feel "right" about their beleaf system. If they felt really strong about their beleafs they would not feel a need to put other beleafs down. Only those who are weak in what they beleave need to put others down, to call names, or be hateful. I am a christian and I find little reason to worry that anything written here is going to change how I beleave. I have been down lifes path a while now and have searched deeply for that which is true for me. I am Ok with others not agreeing with me, and I do not feel any desire or need to "convert" others to my beleaf system. Each of us are on our own individual path in life, in spirituality. You can be a spiritual person, and not belong to any particular church. In fact, one of the most spiritual people I have ever had the fortune of meeting was not of any particular religion. Yet, this person was so spiritual, so far advanced in growth, I cried while conversing with her. I am sometimes amazed with how many people need to push their own beleafs onto others, yet in the same breath state they do not beleave in pushing beleafs onto others. Some of the athiests have decided to name call. They need to feel their answers are right, so they put down others who are of a church organization by saying they are scared, or ignorant, or lack intelligence. This just shows me how shallow certain individuals beleafs are. For those who have a strong foundation name calling and put downs are far beneath them. It is a bit sad thougth to read some of these remarks.
Don't worry so much what others are saying. If your beleafs are strong then what does it really matter what somebody else has to say? Don't take it so persoanally, this is what they want and if you do then they are satisfied. Try not to fall into the personal tit for tat situation so many are engaging in here. It is unbecoming of anyone regardless of beleafs.

i don't think they think we are scared i think they think that we don't enjoy life...that we are bound by laws that keep us from having fun...which is a lie that keeps people from coming to Jesus. we go to the movies, out to eat, we have christian, or positive music night clubs....we listen to hip hop..etc...things everybody else does but cleaner...we enjoy life and we aren't scared at all we are warriors in this life.

Because they spend so much time adherring to irrelevant laws and practices with the intent of securing them a future. I think a lot of them forget to live while they're here because they're so sure there is a heaven.
