The Bible doesn't mention a lot of things that other texts do. The Apocrypha is the name of the collection of all texts that were excluded from the Bible. Some of them would have been in the Old Testament (like some stuff by Daniel), and some would have been in the New Testament (like the Gospel of Judas). A LOT of stuff has been cut from the Bible.

Okay, first of all Lilith fair is a music festival. I worked on it as a stagehand for two consecutive years when it came through Washington State. Never have I been surrounded by so many angry lesbians, but it was still a lot of fun. The music was pretty good too.
Lilith (no fair) is the reputed first wife of Adam, and this belief comes out of two places. Jewish witchcraft (not mainstream judaism), and Gnosticism (a pagan take on christianity that emerged about 200 a.d.). Just because a text is old, doesn't necessarily mean it has a place in the bible.

Uh huh, so we are assuming that she was left out of the bible and assuming that she existed. Post any reference that alludes to Adam having another wife before Eve. Just narrow it down to Jewish/Muslin/Christian documents, lets not go outside of those 3.
For those that state there are references from texts of that era that genesis was written in please display a link. Just saying it was tampered with does nothing, supply me a link. I dont care if its not in the bible or not if its in the book of enoch by all means supply the link.
Lilith in the Hebrew Bible
There is only one verse in the Hebrew Bible, Isaiah 34:14, that may be a reference to Lilith.
"The desert creatures will meet with the wolves,
The hairy goat also will cry to its kind;
Yes, the night monster will settle there
And will find herself a resting place."
- from New American Bible with a footnote stating the Hebrew for "night monster" is "lilith"
The problem with this passage is that this is the only time the word "lilith" is used in the entire Bible, so it is difficult to speculate whether or not this is actually referring to the Sumerian Lilith or just another creature in the context
A passage in the Songs of the Sage (4Q510-11) of the Dead Sea Scrolls also mentions Liith in a context similar to Isaiah 34.
"And I, the Master, proclaim the magesty of his beauty to frighten and ter[rify] all the spirits of the destroying angels and the spirits of hte bastards, the demons, Lilith, the howlers (?) and [the yelpers...] they who strike suddenly to lead astray the spirit of understanding and to appal their heart and their... in the age of domination of wickedness..."
- from Geza Vermes' translation, in Martinez's translation "Lilith" is pluralized.
So they are calling her a demon, yet you are suggesting she was Adams first wife. Again provide references to the bible or any other religious documentation from the 3 i listed before as proof that she was. Next time you send me an email you could be more polite.

The problem is the simple one. Remeber BIble became bible only at 379 AC. NAd it were humans Bishops who picked which books go into the bible. Cristians even today think its only 1 men wrote the bible. They can't handle that it was assembled.
They are scriptures that mentioning Lollith but Church decide not to include it. As for geneses alone not everything from Geneses went into the bible. THere is more in that scripture. But hey church needs power. Bringing concept of first female who disobey the god and then make another female who did exactly the same was too much for Church to handle.

The story about Lilith, not Lilith Fair, was a Jewish Haggadah to explain the observation that at one point in the creation story God creates humans simultaneously both male and female( Genesis 1:27), but at another point, God creates a man and draws a woman forth from him (Genesis 2:18).

Once again, the supposed "Christians" are attacking you and saying YOU don't know what you're talking about, even though it's a proven and well-documented fact of THEIR religion. :)
For those naysayers, this is absolutely true. The Catholic church did not include many things from the ancient Jewish texts. Yes, your bible was tampered with by the Catholics.
You just haven't done your homework. Funny how the atheists tend to always know these things, isn't it?

There have been many stories and books banned from the bible, mainly because the content seems too racy (Book of Enoch) or they add nothing to the story (several concerning Adam and Eve, including the one about Lilith), and even because they threaten the church.

Are you crazy? Eve was and is and was cast out.
No women are mentioned in the bible. Eve had tons of girls none where mentioned. This was thousands of years later that part of the bible was written. So only those who were memorable for some reason were mentioned male or female.
Some women are mentioned but very few. They were to busy having babies and that's about all they did.

Adam had only one wife and that was Eve. he never had another wife. Eve was made from Adam's rib. that is why Adam said out of man God made woman. there was never any other woman for Adam, and never was. I really don't know where people get the idea that Adam had another wife. that is a lie
