As an atheist, I’m always interested in the idea that an omnipresent being such as God is gendered. Why is this? And why as a male figure, and not a woman?

Everybody goes somewhere after you die. You have two choices: Heaven or Hell. What determines which one you go to?

My dad's dying wish is for me to get baptised. I want to make him happy, but I do not have the same beliefs that he does. I'm more agnostic. I believe in being a good person...and being kind to others, not judging and caring for this earth. My dad doesn't care what faith I get baptised in. Is there any spiritual alternatives that we can both agree upon?

For anyone who has seen it, did you think it was accurate? Did it make you cry? What was your reaction to the film? I recently saw it and it was very moving.

"thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" translation: if a woman thinks, kill her
the bible says this. the commandments say
"thou shalt not kill"
HYPOCRITES!
now where in the bible does it say that homosexuality is evil?
by the way homosexuality was more honorable according to the greeks and romans.
people like socrates and plato
so tell me why is it you believe it's wrong?
think back, "mixed marriage" was considered evil for a long time even though genetically speaking, if adam and eve existed, adam would have been the blackest man to ever exsist and eve an albino.
now we understand that no matter what one's color is, love is love.
tell me this, why doesn't that apply to ALL couples. love is love, no matter race, sex, religion, ect. right?

If they believe that their god is all-loving, all-powerful, and all-knowing, then by definition GOD is clearly the one responsible for everything that happens.

If god has the POWER to prevent bad things, and also the KNOWLEDGE of what is going to happen before it does, then He should be held responsible.

Anything that is supposedly done by Satan is God's plan.

If a child is abducted, raped, tortured and killed, it was god's plan to do that since he KNEW it would happen and had the POWER to prevent it.

Same with the supposed fall of Satan. God knew that would happen and had the power to stop it. So why do some people try and blame Satan when Satan would never have been if your god didn't want him to?

Also, eve wouldn't have been persuaded to bite the apple unless it was god's plan to do so. Adam and eve would still be in paradise if god didn't plan for the serpant to decieve them.

i want to know what has to be done when a person who is catholic decides to get married but hasnt completed confirmation? like how first, you take the first comunion and then after 2 years you get the confirmation, right? im catholic, have completed the 1st comunion but never did the confirmation, if i was to get married, do i have to take courses again to take the confirmation or what else is to be done?

the reason why i never took the confirmation was because the church in which i had been taking the courses from where actually 'bad'. the people who taught, they had no spiritual character, it wasn't a pretty sight. just to put in simple words, they did it only for the money. plus i was hung up on school work and activities and my parents being extremly religious accepted and understood the situation. so now, its been a long time and i never got around to completing it and getting confirmed, what am i suppose to do if i was to get married under the catholic church?

Please beware of the LeSea Ministry/Broadcasting stations in your area! They are horrible people that see millions of $$$ come into their stations and they use the $$$ for their own families use! I worked for them in the TULSA OKLAHOMA STATION for many years. I have seen things that would make SATAN blush! They are the most horrible people ever. Do NOT give them your $$$! Do not watch their station or work for them. I was in charge of the financial documents for the TULSA station and they forced me to falsify documents on many occasions especially where it came to where the $$$ goes. They bought luxury cars that would make rapstars envy-all while saying it went to charity (their charity). They also don't like blacks, hispanics or anyone who is in any way overweight. I have seen them fire people for silly things. I had enough of their lies and quit last week. BEWARE of this "ministry" ... have you ever worked for them? Or have you ever asked where your donations went?beware

We are eternal spirtual beings, therefore we never die...just occasional experience ourselves as physical beings as well as spiritual...on the earthplane. So, what kind of proof would you require to accept this statement?

I mean, He heals the sick, He casts aways demons, He performs miracles, He has a superb understanding about life and how to attain peace and true success, He teaches the people about the Kingdom of God, He died for our sins, Rose again, and left us wiith His Holy Spirit as our guide and comforter.

When you go to spirit-filled church and ask for prayer, you can actually feel His Spirit. He is afterall the Son of God. Then it seems like your burden has been lifted away.

I guess it is hard because some people do not feel His Spirit.

What do you think?

Even science has a design. Even in some ocassions, there are laws involved.

Think about DNA. The double helix. Is this not a design, or a random act?
Think about the "laws" of physics and the "laws" of gravity. Are these just coincidences or are they a design?

Even science produces many invisible things that we never knew existed,....ie. radio waves, microwaves, etc.,,,,
My point is, science is well "organized" and seems to follow a pattern. A pattern is a design.
So, my question is, ... finally, .....
How can you still be convinced that God does not exist?

I find science and religion to go hand in hand. That is my belief.

1 Timothy 3:15
"But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth."

The Catholic Church is the Pillar and foundation of Truth according to the Bible. The Bible is not the foundatin of Truth, because Paul in the Bible says the Church is.
