1 Timothy 3:15
"But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth."

The Catholic Church is the Pillar and foundation of Truth according to the Bible. The Bible is not the foundatin of Truth, because Paul in the Bible says the Church is.

The Catholic Church has been around for 2,000 years. The Church in the New Testament evolved into the Catholic Church.

Poet Gurl:
1 Cor 12:27 "Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually."

Eph 5:23 "...as also Christ is head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body."
That Church IS the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church IS the Body of Christ.

"All Scripture is given by God and is useful for teaching, for showing people what is wrong in their lives, for correcting faults, and for teaching how to live right."

The Catholic Church that we know today did not descend from the New Testament Church. It is actually the product of weak Christians and the influence of a pagan emperor. The only place we can find the power of the Catholic Church to change God's laws is in the mouths of the Catholic Church; it is freely admited that there is no such athority in the Bible.

Have you not an open mind . In sincere love i tell you that the history books say that the origin of the Catholic churh began from about 3-5 hundred years after Christ. Derived from Thyatira, and in the book of revelation you can read what Jesus said to the churches, The Seven Churches.
And furthermore anyone who is a follower of Christ is his church, even if they are Roman Catholic or Muslim or Hindu or whatever anyone was brought up into .

Where on earth did you get that the Catholic Church is the pillar. I hate to be the bearer of bad news for ya, but Christ is the pillar of truth! CHRIST!

Who said that the Catholic Church is the true church, the true Church is the body of Christ, not a organization.

the church is the body of Christ, of whom we (all beleivers) are members. it is not an organization, and the last thing it is, is the catholic church.

Imagine that!!!!

The Catholic church wrote a book to justify it's claim of being the only "true" church.

Wonders shall never cease, it seems.

It's a wonder anyone believes that crap. But, Catholics weren't allowed to read the bible for nearly 2,000 years and are still encouraged to not read the bible, so what else would we expect?

I am afraid I don't see how what Paul wrote in the first century applies to the Roman Catholic Church of 2006, which is currently paying out millions in legal damages because it knowingly and willfully protected child rapists.

Paul wrote to Timothy: “I am writing you these things, . . . that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in God’s household, which is the congregation of the living God, a pillar and support of the truth. Indeed, the sacred secret of this godly devotion is admittedly great: ‘He [Jesus Christ] was made manifest in flesh, was declared righteous in spirit, appeared to angels, was preached about among nations, was believed upon in the world, was received up in glory.’”—1Ti 3:14-16.

“The congregation of the living God” had the truth, and it knew accurately the mystery, or “the sacred secret,” of true godly devotion, and the congregation had not only the form but also the power of such godly devotion. (Contrast 2Ti 3:5.) Hence, it could be the “pillar and support of the truth” in the midst of a world of error and false religion, the ‘mysteries’ sacred to Satan and those he has blinded. (2Co 4:4) Jesus Christ himself is the One whose godly devotion was foretold and described in the inspired Hebrew Scriptures. For centuries, ever since the challenge was launched against God’s sovereignty, with the integrity of man being brought into question, it was a mystery, or “sacred secret,” whether complete, unswerving, unblemished godly devotion could be fully maintained by anyone upon whom the Devil would bring pressure. Who, if anyone, would be able to hold up under the test and come through wholly clean, without sin, and untarnished in exclusive devotion to Jehovah? Related to this was the question concerning who would be the ‘seed of the woman’ that would bruise the Serpent’s head. This would be fully revealed when Christ “was made manifest in flesh, was declared righteous in spirit, appeared to angels, was preached about among nations, was believed upon in the world, was received up in glory.” (1Ti 3:16; 6:16) This was admittedly a great thing. The great question of godly devotion centered around the one person, Jesus Christ. What greatness there was to Christ’s course of godly devotion! How it benefits mankind and vindicates and exalts Jehovah’s name!

The Church of the Living God is truth, because they are of the living God, and serve Him and obey His word as truth, and as authority.
