I mean, He heals the sick, He casts aways demons, He performs miracles, He has a superb understanding about life and how to attain peace and true success, He teaches the people about the Kingdom of God, He died for our sins, Rose again, and left us wiith His Holy Spirit as our guide and comforter.

When you go to spirit-filled church and ask for prayer, you can actually feel His Spirit. He is afterall the Son of God. Then it seems like your burden has been lifted away.

I guess it is hard because some people do not feel His Spirit.

What do you think?

To me, the answer lies in the fact that Satan knows that his
days are numbered, and has found a willing ally in un-born again
men, specifically the movie makers and the news media, who
willingly tell Messiah's story, but put it the realm of all the other
"myths", thus making it little more than a fairy tale, or the story
of a "nice man" with good intentions. This sometimes is helped
along by so-called Biblical scholars who erroneously believe that
God's Word is allegory, or just stories to set a moral example.

This has all been predicted by God, so rest assured that His
Will will be accompolished, but sadly. there will always be people
who will never believe that God even exists, let alone would send
His Son to die for us. We can however pray and work to witness
to as many folks as possible, and fulfill the Great Commission
of spreading the gospel. ----MRT

The bible is just a book. A very old book.
When is the last time you saw the god you think you are communicating with?
When is the last time someone returned from the dead to tell you that there is a god, jesus, spirit, heaven, hell, etc.?
Oh... NEVER??
Chew on it if you haven't been too severely brainwashed.
My boyfriend was 'one of you' and he just died last week from pneumonia, well before his time.
Therefore, your god does NOT heal the sick...
especially think of the people with aids, cancers, etc..
What kind of God with all those powers wouldn't be fixing all this.
Children diseased and starving all over the world...
it goes on and on.
You can only have faith in yourself and believe that people are basically good and mean well.
He never taught you anything. Some preacher, an ordinary person, TOLD you that it was god/jesus, by creative interpretations of the bible, that there is some kind of devine intervention.
Extremely doubtful.

I don't know if it is a question of "understanding" but of belief.

You believe all the stuff you espoused above. But many people don't.

I personally don't believe any of that. I don't believe Christ did any of those things, is the Son of God, or that he "died for our sins".

Think of it this way. Do you believe in Zeus, or Vishnu, or Odin, or The Great Spirit, or the Buddha? Why not? Why aren't those belief systems as valid as yours? I've seen as much evidence of Christ's divinity as Hercules. All of these various religions have holy books that showed "the truth"; why is the Bible more authoritative than say the Rig Veda, or the writings of Joseph Smith?

As a Pastor I have ill feelings about this movement that claims Jesus Christ is GOD.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Our Savior.
The Messiah, lion of Judah, Lily of the Valley, rose of Sharon.

But are we denying the Father when we say Jesus is God?
Are we in fact butting Jesus before God?

God the Father.
Jesus Christ the Son of God.
The Holy Ghost.

Simple: Because it's illogical.

Saying that the god of YOUR religion is the ONLY valid god is like saying that your language is the ONLY valid language. It is fallacy.

Have you ever thought of the possibility that ALL gods/goddesses are one god and and religion is merely our attempt to comprehend something we'll never fully understand? The concept of "God" is simply too big for humans to accept.

Try another religion's church sometime....(and I don't mean another denomination of YOUR church). I bet you'll STILL feel the spirit of God. Take a walk in the woods....you'll feel it there too.

Good luck with opening your mind. The journey of a lifetime begins with the first step.

Why can't Christians nowadays understand that the little man in Uganda said that the Sun God is the only guy to talk to when you are wanting good things on earth? I mean he's only been praising him for....ohhhhhh..... 1000's of years before Christ was born. And he doesn't even know about Christ and still feels a spirit inside him! How about that?

Honestly, Christians are good people inside, but your one sidedness and silly arrogant ignorance is absurd. Its like thinking that in our entire universe, which is pretty dang big, holds only us as living beings... Oh wait... you all believe that too...

Nevermind, its pointless to try to converse with you....

As you said no one is perfect. But there are some honest sincere Christians out there who do care and make the effort to live holy lives. I know several actually. The problem is there are also so many people who claim to be Christians but don't care at all. They set a bad example and give Christianity a bad name :(

I think you are a brain washed idiot who has abandoned all common sense in exchange for a 2,000 year old fairy tail. Hey you asked.

Not everyone believes the same thing you do... for example there are about 750,000,000 Hindus over in Asia (and elsewhere) who believe in Ganesha, the elephant god of wisdom.... they burn incense around a little elephant statue as a form of worship. It may seem silly to you but to them it is a sacred rite. Its best to let people believe what they want to and not judge them when their beliefs don't coincide with yours, obviously I am still working on that part.

If Jesus was real, he was just another human being who wanted to end his life and claimed he died for your sin. What about people who were born after his death, why should we have to feel guilty because of that. Christians should stop making a big deal to the point of annoying others.

I think it is because people have been kicked in the teeth for so much of their lives that they cannot believe that Jesus can offer them hope, love, and salvation simply by inviting him into their hearts. It may simply sound like an offer that is too good to be true. That's where you and I come in to try to explain to the lost the wonderful gift that we have received in Christ. God Bless.
