Holy Sh!t (no pun intended). I mean, look at my answers from other questions in the past hour! Its really terrifying to me that we live in a world where people can believe in Adam and Eve, that the Bible is ligit, like a guy could split an ocean in half, but they cannot believe that evolution is possible! That's like saying you believe in ghosts, but not alien life!

God wants us to ask questions and learn from one another, but he does now want us to question him.

Are you asking a questiong about God to learn something, or are you questioning GOD work?

Bible Verse of the Day:

"Now go and smite non-believers, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep." -1st Samuel 15:3

I am a Christian and am neither of these. I really like my piece and quiet, I don't bother anybody or press my own spiritual beliefs on them, and I really like meeting people. I don't hang out with a bad crowd...so just because of that I am some kind of zeolot? I think those doing this type of labeling need to hold a mirror up in front of theirselves. Meanwhile....back on the ranch....

We know that God is supposed to be all-powerful and all-loving. He could save us from sin however and whenever he wants. So again my question is: why would he do it in such a way that his own son dies a miserable death and certain non-believers still end up going to hell anyway versus a much more loving way that parents usually have for their children?

I knew I wouldn't get taken, but is any one disapointed that they didn't get to go? Hope no one is sitting around wondering what they did wrong. We got a book, what more could we want, right? I guess I will just keep doing the same things I always have done. What will you be doing for the rest of eternity?

How could Jesus be born on Christmas Day, does that represent that he was a gift from God or something. Cos it sure is a coincidence.

We all know that since God is all-powerful, he can save us from sin (or whatever his intention was) with a snap of his fingers. So why was there a need for an all-loving God to put his son through such torture? If your answer is something along the lines of: "to teach us a lesson," then why wouldn't God do it in a more loving way? When our own children do something wrong, we don't have them executed. You can't get any more closer to common sense than that. So how could this whole sending your only begotten son to die for something you could take care of yourself make any sense?

If you actually learned about Islam you would not being saying or believing any of what I have read in this forum...it is just sad that people these days are not smart enough to rid their ignorance and attempt to learn about those they criticize....it is no different then the civil rights movement...Americans believed that black people were inferior not, thank god, most Americans with the exception of a few sickos believe the truth, why cant people wake up and study Islam and not speak out of ignorance, it really makes you sound stupid.

I just want to know because I think I might be bi and I don't want to go to hell or upset God or Jesus in any way that would prevent me from going to heaven. Think about it the most depressing thing in the world, in my opinion, is to know that your fate is damned with no hope.I don't know how to change my own feelings.

Why is there such a big movement in many Christian faiths against gay people? I can understand the movement against abortion, as Christians see abortion as murder, but what is the big deal about being gay? Sure, if you interpret some parts of the Bible a certain way, being gay is a sin. But if you interpret other certain parts of the Bible (particularly the Old Testament) a case for slavery can be made as well. The points that the Bible is definitive about (such as the 10 commandments or the seven deadly sins) make no mention about being gay as far as I can tell. If people get so worked up about such minor points in the Bible, why not get worked up about the major ones. There is no apparent Christian outrage against adultery (which would break one of the 10 commandments) or being fat (gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins), so why be so outraged at gay people?
