Because God gave us a free will. Without it, our lives and worship of Him would be very "robotic" He wants real love, the kind that's freely given as His Son was for our sins. If he merely "snapped His fingers" and ended sin, then we'd all be instantly transformed into something that couldn't begin to comprehend the need for God to send his Son to die for sins that in that state of being couldn't possibly exist to begin with. That's why he created the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the garden of Eden. It forced man to make a choice and therefore have free will and order, and obedience ingrained into his life.

Here is a decidedly non-bilblical view of the question. If you agree that God is all-loving then it follows that as all-loving, He is all-good. As all-good he has no experience to draw from for what is all-evil. No experience except what he sees and feels through us. He certainly KNOWS what sin and evil are, but how could He experience what is His opposite if He obliterates that which is His opposite--sin & evil. God's as inquisitive about His creation as we are. That of course begs the question "Is the all-evil/all-sinful as powerful as God's all-loving?" I'd say no. It's just more powerful than you or me or any humans ever built. This is why we fail to be all-loving like God and why we do things that are essentially not all-good. He expected this, He accepts the result and experiences the "sinful" (or imperfect) thru us since we are indeed part of what is God. In the end, God takes care of His own, having let us follow less-than-all-loving-not-all-bad lives. Can you do it all without sin? I wish you well on that endeavor...

God is real! How can you say he isnt? How did we get here then did a huge rock hit the earth and boom lyke omg!! there are people on the earth now woo hoo! No it doesnt work that way!!!
God cares about us, he loves us. But at the same time he wants us to learn lessons he wants us to figure things out on our own. God doesn't just give us things, he wants us to EARN them. Think about how much God went through when he made the biggest sacrafice for our sins, Jesus Christ died for US. The reason that God doesn't just snap his fingers and poof all sin is gone is because he wants US to get rid of the sin, he wants US to be good people and to stop killing each other, to stop lying to each other, to stop stealing, to stop cheating on each other.

Sin is not God's doing. It is man's doing. Sin is the result of people choosing to deny God's will in favor of their own. So long as there are people doing this, sin will exist. The only thing that will stop this is if God snapped His fingers and took our freedom of will away, effectively turning us into automations. What would the point of earthly existance be then?
When mankind choose his own will over God's, man separated himself from God. Only God had the power to reconcile such a separation. And the only way to re-establish this bond was for God to send His only Son down to Earth and take upon Himself the sins of the world.
God had to defeat the effects of sin in order to reconcile mankind to Himself. Jesus Christ's sufferings was how this debt was paid. No mere man could have survived all that Jesus went through, thus mankind was powerless to reestablish reconcile itself with God. Only God could effect such a reconciliation because only He has power to defeat sin.
When Jesus died on the cross, that bond was re-established. As a result, rightwous souls were allowed into Heaven. The forgiveness of sins was made possible through Christ's crucifixion via the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
What God did was make salvation for us possible - inspite of our sins. When we sin, if we repent and ask forgiveness, God will wipe our slate clean.
Still, our God-given freedom of will remains. And some people choose to deny God's will in spite of everything Jesus did to save everyone.
God made salvation a possibility for everyone, but that doesn't mean everyone is going to want this great gift, as insane as it sounds.
God NEVER forces people to do His will. Nor does He ever banish a soul to hell against it's will. God respects our freedom of will so much, that if one chooses to spend his/her earthly life without God, he will grant them an eternal life without God as well.
We have to do God's will if we want to be saved. If those who rejected God's will still got into Heaven, it's only a matter of time before everyone is in defiance of God. Why work your butt off for God when you know you can reject His will and still earn eternal salvation? Does that make any sense?

Do you like the ability to choose? I do. If God snapped his magic fingers and ended sin he would also be taking away our ability to choose. Although sin is a bad thing, so is living a life without choice. In fact it would be like another form of bondage.
Does righteousness exist if the contrast of sin is removed? I thank God for giving me the right to choose. The right to make mistakes and learn from my mistakes. How boring this world would be if God snapped his fingers and took away our freedom of choice.

The gave us choice to do right or wrong when Eve and Adam sinned. Just like he gave Lucifer_Satan in heaven a choice alot with all his angels, if you don't want to live by his law you don't have to, but to question God is wrong also read that bible....

I think we seem to forget that God and his Son are spirit. Spirits need bodies to work through, and we have the choice of which spirits or attitudes will use our bodies. You do not see love or hate walking or floating around without a body ?
So whatever spirits use us, they will live in us.
We will do what the spirits then inspire us to do ?
if everybody excludes God, he will be again where he was in the beginning.

Because as bad as this sounds, we are basically a bet... Satan told Eve that we didn't need God and could get along without him. And so he is giving Satan time to prove his little theory and when that's done, his original plans for humans and the Earth will resume.
