I can't tell you the number of times someone I've never seen before has walked up to me and called me nasty, or dirty, or disgusting, just because I'm holding a cigarette. I don't blow smoke in peoples faces, I don't even stand near non-smokers without asking if it would bother them. I pick up my cigarette butts. I try my hardest to be courteous about it. Why do people think they have the right to be so nasty to a complete stranger?

I'm from here and I just want to hear what others think of this state.

I personally feel it's overcrowded, overstressed, fast paced, annoying, and just generally full of negative people.

The only redeeming factors are MANY places to shop, and I do mean mannnnnnnnny many many, convenient for food as well, 24/7 diners, very close to NYC and shore, but in general, NJ seems to have more trashy, violent, nasty, unenlightened people especially on the roads, even more so than NYC.

Parts of NJ are really nice and rich and beautiful, especially out west, but the eastern side sucks.

People here also seem just so materialistic and competitive, and just not nice people.

It's quite sad.

BUT all in all, I do live here, and I'm so used to it, it doesn't phase me.

But there's more to the world than Jersey. It really sucks, if this is all you know.

Life really IS better elsehwere.

Maybe there are some places worse than Jersey. Maybe LA, or harlem, or Detroit lol

All religious/political views aside, I never understood or wanted to understand Rosie O'Donnell until I read this transcript of what was said:

O’DONNELL: …… I just want to say something. 655,000 Iraqi civilians are dead. Who are the terrorists?

HASSELBECK: Who are the terrorists?

O’DONNELL: 655,000 Iraqis — I’m saying you have to look, we invaded –

HASSELBECK: Wait, who are you calling terrorists now? Americans?

O’DONNELL: I’m saying if you were in Iraq, and the other country, the United States, the richest in the world, invaded your country and killed 655,000 of your citizens, what would you call us?

HASSELBECK: Are we killing their citizens or are their people also killing their citizens?

O’DONNELL: We’re invading a sovereign nation, occupying a country against the U.N.

-----Now tell me what you think about her views. Try to be completely unbiased here and see it from a humane viewpoint! thanks....

people were shiit n brick s about the OJ Simpson
trial. This guy is probably going to get off too just
like OJ. Phil is just about as popular as OJ in the
record industry as OJ was in sports.

OMFG today the the mirror on the wall it was like a long rectangular mirror that we pinned to the wall with nails and it came down today by itself, but the mirror is fine not even a dent it didn't even crack but the wooden frame of it on top is broken, but my question is, is it still bad luck?? Technically it is part of the mirror itself but also I didn't break, it fell down on its own. I'm a very superstitiuous person so I need your opinion

If someone came up to you and started talking and showing interest, but you saw someone really attractive sitting across the room, would you continue talking to the first person, or blow them off for the attractive one?

Have you ever "judged a book by it's cover" and came to regret it later?

I'm not trying to sound insensitive here, so bare with me. Today, I saw a story on the news where this woman hanged her 4 daughters then herself (her 8month old daughter lived) in Texas. The rest of them died. When I see a story like this on the news, I am not really all that affected anymore. I just shake my head and continue what I was doing. Stories of the soldiers dead in Iraq don't really affect me like they used to (even though that is a real tragedy for all of us). Suicide bombs, a man putting his baby in the microwave. None of it surprises me. Is that normal? I feel that as long as my family is safe and secure, I'm okay. Not to say that I don't feel bad for the families of the Victims. I would hate to be in their shoes, but I was just wondering if anyone else experiences the same thing.

Why do people live to survive? This is what confuses me - Most people wake up, go to school/work and hate it, come home, do jobs around the house/home-work/look after the kids/make the tea and go to bed. Then they wake up and do exactly the same thing the day after. Why!? This shoulden't be what life's about. I live to have fun, appreciate things, be happy and achieve. Apart from school (which I have to do) I live every day excitingly and differently. It actually scares me that people can trot through life doing absolute s**t and being ok about it - having conversations about the weather. Why can't everyone live like today is there last? Why can't people enjoy, embrace and discover life? I feel so strongly about people just sleepwalking through life and not doing anything worth talking about or anything that they can remember for ever. Does anyone understand what I'm talking about and are you some-one that likes to actually live without surviving? God must be ashamed.

Janet Jackson shows her boob for 2 seconds, big scandal. National Geographic shows the breasts and more of people in skimpy clothes, especially if they are from isolated regions of the world or poor African countries. Why do they get away with this?

Do you think she was fired by ABC and is just playin it down as her idea to get sympathy?

Do you think she was set up? Or did she do it to herself and is in denial?

I think she was invited not to come back anymore (fired).
I think she set herself up, stuck her foot in her mouth one time too many and it backfired.
I think she believe she was in the right, and is denying the truth that she bullied her co-host when she had a chance to stop.

agree or disagree
