The book of course. I could learn something. A gun has only one use and I don't want to kill anything. I would rather have something I could learn from and use as a reference.

well at 5$ bucks the craftmanship on the hand gun is questionable, and the probability of a recall is HIGH, so I'd go with the history book depending on who it was writen by,
That being said, if i didnt like the author, I just save my money,

the gun. i couple borrow the book from a professor for free. and as far as the gun, like that guy said it's a great deal! but my first choice was the book. I figured it would make me look like a pacifistic intellectual. :)

The book. I wouldn't want to trust a five dollar pistol.

You can get that book anywhere when you need it. A gun for 5 bucks? You know I'll take a gun for 5, please! Common sense & resale value tells me this is a good deal! I already have a library card!

I would take the book because I don't want to handle a gun, own a gun or sell the gun. I don't care how cheap it is, I would not deal with it.
