Name ONE event where you witnessed (or were the victim of) someone driving without any awareness of anybody else on the road.

I see this one all the time. Drivers who get on the highway and stop at the end of the entrance ramp!

I've never been a victim of someone doing something ridiculous (and unsafe!), but I've had a couple narrow misses. The dumbest thing I ever saw was a guy (I was in the lane next to him, so I witnessed everything.) Who was driving while reading the newspaper. He was steering his car with his knees and holding the paper in both hands. And he wasn't just glancing at it and keeping both eyes mostly on the road--the man was moving along at about 25 - 30 mph and READING the paper. I hurried up and got in front of him so he couldn't side swipe me!

While traveling on a small bus in Transylvania, I stood behind the driver and filmed him while he was counting the banknotes the passengers had payed him, he was doing about 70km an hour and held the steering wheel with his elbows.
I took the film to a local TV news station, who aired it and a week later it got aired on National Romanian TV.
I don't care if the driver lost his job, the lives of 15 passengers were his responsibility, in the previous 2 weeks 3 "Maxi-taxis" as they are known had crashed and a lot of people killed, all down to driver error!!!

People in Tallahassee, FL canNOT drive - there are so many people on the road who don't understand that people on the road coming toward them have the right of way when they're trying to make a left turn. This happened to me once at night in the rain - some woman almost crashed into me when she was making a left turn while I was going straight. Crazy/no idea what the rules are!
I know you said just one incident, but... it also sucks that when you drive in the ghetto area, Frenchtown, a lot of people speed right through traffic lights. Scary.

Driving on a 4 lane highway with about 5 yards of grass seperating the 2 lane roads. I'm driving in the left lane in the middle of the night (no cars anywhere) about a mile from my home and I see a car heading directly at me without its headlights. I think I'm imaging it but as I swirve into the right lane barely missing the car I say to myself "ITS NOT A DREAM!" and immediately call 911 and they said they would send out an officer. It scared the **** outta me.
As I turned right into my subdivision I saw the car that almost hit me speed past on my left going the correct way.

Driving on the interstate and a vehicle is on the "on" ramp to the interstate, shoots all the way over to the left lane cutting everyone off including an 18 wheeler then proceeds to go under the speed limit and then shoots all the way back over to the right lane to get off next exit.
To top it off, they were on the cell phone!!!

No...I got one that beats these ones.....I live near I-95 (the busiest interstate at times) anways this lady was backing up down the interstate....waits till theres hardly any cars (which is never by the way) runs in the middle of the interstate.....TO PICK UP HER FREAKING HAIR CLIP!!!! What a dumb biotch! Those things cost like one dollar but rather she would die then loose a damn clip.....wow *dur dur dur* she was slow!

I saw a woman driving an SUV - she was barreling down the road right up on me as I sat at a stoplight...she was drinking from a cup, smoking and had a hand held cel phone in her hand. She barely got stopped in time - had she hit me there would have been a huge fight!

I watch a disheveled woman with coke bottle glasses and frizzled hair pull out of a liquor store parking lot, run over 2 curbs at 5mph and drive on the shoulder for 4 miles. She hit branches hanging on the side of the road, so I followed her and she pulled into the police station. I wonder if she turned herself in or was just scared that I was following her to watch her craziness.
I videotaped it on my phone. :)

Drive AROUND pedestrians at the crosswalk.
There should be NO RIGHT TURNS while the
light is red. Ped's have places to go too.
A good driver is a myth. There is no such thing.
