I keep hearing people talk about how Muslim women are suppressed (for example, being made to cover their heads), and I wondered what society would be worse to live in... that... or its polar opposite here in the US... women being objectified or sexually exploited?

I was at work & found out that there is this new rule for employee's who have dependents for medical benefits: if you have a dependent, you must provide proof (i.e. if you have a spouse, then you should provide a marriage certificate). People were talking about it and I heard several comments surrounding that same sex couples "don't have to" obide by this rule (although, they do) and they also were making negative connotations toward same-sexed couples. I thought: "well, if most of our society would allow for same-sex marriage, then no one would have to follow different rules." So, what do Y users think...should our society allow for same sex marriage? Why or why not?

I am 32 years old. And when i get home from work i like putting a diaper on. That way i can just sit on my couch and watch tv with out worrying about missing a show just because i had to get up and go to the bathroom. I just sit on my couch watching tv while go potty. You see it all started when my son was born. And i thought must be nice not to have to get up all the time to go to the bathroom, that's when i had an idea. So i went to the grocery store and bought adult size diapers. old people wear them why can't i. When i first started doing it my wife was discused. And then after about a week she was fed up, and told me to stop wearing them. I didn't. so after about a month she left me. She obviously didn't love me in the first place otherwise she would of stuck through it and let me do what i want. And then my friends stoped coming over. They said i stunk and it was weird that i **** my pants. Why can't this be excepted in our world. I think it's wonderful not to have to get up.

I lived there for a short time at one point and the cost of living was not worth the quality of life. I met so many people who thought it was the center of the universe... they didn't really get out of NYC much, usually due to being financially strapped to city. They were like the city's b*tches... defending it at every chance, claiming that it "has the most culture" (whatever that means)... all while bending over backwards trying to pay their ridiculously overpriced rent.

Anyone agree or am I the only one who does not get the 'special allure' of NYC?

I feel so stupid even adressing this, but I find myself in a state of confusion. I have a professor who basically seems to praise me a lot, likes to strike up conversation as much as possible, even seems to look at me frequently and tries to catch my glance and hold it very often, and there is some friendly touching (pat on the back, hand on the shoulder etc.).

Now here comes the question:

Does he just see me as an individual rather than a student, and quite possibly is interested in me as a person... Or is he coming on to me...?

The only reason why I can't tell is simply because all of the things he does is in a very... how do I put this... non-sleezy manner.

They act like they are being picked on for not being able to smoke in certain places. THEIR bad habit has been killing innocent people long enough. I would invite ALL non-smokers to write their legislators to put even tighter restrictions on the killings.

Stupid decisions on local councils, conspiracy theories. You cannot blame the schools or teachers. You can only blame yourselves for not demanding higher standards. In age when so much is available for education why is society getting dumber.

What if you owned a street gang (like "The Warriors" style, movie and game), would be the name of your gang? Where would be your turf? What do gang members wear? What would be your gang symbol? What type of style (clothes, weapons)?

I'm not weird, I'm gifted.

I hear voices and they don't like you.

I do whatever the voices in my head tell me to do.

Normal people scare me.

It's only funny till someone gets hurt, then its hilarious.

It's all about me.

I'm out of bed and dressed what more do you want?

I see dumb people.

Sarcasm is the one service I offer.

Annoy me at your own risk.

Are you starting to get the picture? These shirts aren't funny. People need to know that anyone who wears these shirts essentially has a sign on their chest that says, I think I'm funny, but I am such the exact opposite that I must have other people think of sayings for me. And worse, I can't even tell when those sayings suck. Why not be creative and make your own? If for some reason you are going to buy a shirt with humorous text, visit bustedtees or palmercash. Seriously, stop buying "funny" shirts at walmart. They suck. I'm just trying to make the world a better place. Help do your part. If you own a shirt like this, burn it.
