Hot - just frickin' sexier than hell
Cute - looks damned good, and also looks interesting and fun
Personally, I think being called cute is more of a compliment than being called hot.

Well people use the word cute for alot of things...like aww that puppy is so cute! And well people usually say hott when There talking about the oppisite sex. Or clothes or something.
