Don't people who preface their questions with this realize that they are pretty much admitting they are racist?

Steve: I freely admit that I have prejudices. What made you assume otherwise?

Californialove, I think you need a new name. You may not hate, but you certainly aren't very loving with attacking statements like, "Get a clue."

Not particularly. They just want people to know that they don't want this to sound bad but this person did blah blah blah. I sadly used this comment earlier today when talking about something that someone had done to me earlier in the day. I probably could've used a better phrase, but anyone who knows me knows I'm almost the furthest thing from racist. Personally anyway

They admit that they are about to say something that's racist, but don't want to think of themselves in that way

Racism is and has been a complely normal human behaviour since prehistory. Why demonise whats natural - unless your a politically correct, preprogrammed media victim.

No. I have said things like, "I'm not a racist, but I think sterotypes exist for a reason." That doesn't mean I HATE people of other races.

Get a clue.

Amen!

I have said time and time again, if you have to say you're not a racist, then you probably are one.

"I'm not a racist, but are you?"
How about that question, eh? There's no admission of racism there...
