As a Canadian I've heard about it alot but never really knew anything about it. So, my Q is this. What are food stamps? And how are they used and who uses them and who distributes them? Just curious.

History has proven that they can't. America seems to think it can. Will it truly work? It seems racial boundaries are beginning to become more clearer.

I find it hard to imagine. I have never experienced joy in all my life, not even when I was very young (all I knew was surviving day to day).

Do people really become happy or is it a mythical story that they use as an opiate for the miserable audiences?

Why is marijuana illegal, and why is alcohol and tobacco legal? Marijuana is natural and has no man made chemicals added to it like tobacco and alcohol, and there has been no related deaths to smoking marijuana, while there have been thousands of deaths with alcohol and tobacco.

Even college graduates make this mistake. I see it all over.

Maybe we should have mini-lessons in the form of commercials on TV. AAH..

Danny is out along with Mel. He may care but he should find something more pressing to care about nowadays, don't you agree????.

Think about this. If you believe that child mortality rates are at an all time high, check your info. Breakthroughs in medicine changed that years ago. If our kids are croaking, we brought it on. Just check out the pre/post 1900 census records. You will see that children died all of the time. I actually thought the question our supposed Danny Glover posed was stupid yet it got over 1100 answers. OF COURSE OUR CHILD MORTALITY RATE IS AT AN ALL TIME LOW. SURE IT IS SAD WHEN A CHILD DIES, BUT THAT IS CALLED POPULATION CONTROL. I don't want our earth overpolulated with runts and weaklings. The human race was meant to survive and live on and yes, there are always going to be runts kicked out of the litter. Is there anybody out there who agrees that it is nature's way of preserving the best and strongest of our race?

Do you think that the kids of today see us adults as hypocrits, when we try to shove things like planned parenting and responsibility, down their throats, when at the same time , we let ppl like Paris Hilton control our media, justice system and anything else she can throw her unearned money at, just so she can "expose" her influence on what young women's standards should be?

Since little, I have been told that I'm a handsome boy. However, I was too young and didnt know what it meant. When I was a teenager, I had continously heard people saying the same thing from adults or people at my age. Even girls in school were saying that, but I ignored them because we were all immature, and I thought they were playing a joke on me. I also ignored the adults because I didn't have a mind to think as an adult and was too naive. After college, I started working, and people in different companies also had said the same thing. I again ignored them because I thought they were just being nice and complementing me. Even when I talk to strangers for whatever reasons, they sometimes will say the same comment! I'm now 26, and I have felt something has changed in my mind. I have started to accept that I'm a handsome man, which it has given me more confidence than ever. I'm planning to search for the answer and ask women of what make them think I'm handsome. What's the deal?

I used to work in a national park in Alberta, Canada. Now granted the vast majority of tourists had never been in Canada before and you expect some degree of silliness in the questions you get asked. But sometimes the questions would absolutely floor me, things that should have been obvious if the asker possessed a single speck of common sense. I'm used to hearing what Canadians get asked, but I'd like to know what others have heard in their countries. Here is an example from my time as a clerk in a ski shop:
A gentleman paid with US$ and when I had given him back his change he asked me what it was. So I told him it was his change after the exchange rate. "What am I supposed to do with this?" I told him he could spend it during his time in Canada. At which point he asked me, "I'm going to Vancouver, is that in Canada?"

One time I was in the mall, and this 12 year old girl says to her parents as I pass by, "oh, those clothes and shoes are probably knockoffs." Why would she assume I would buy knockoffs? If it because of my race? This isn't the only time, I overheard someone saying a comment about my car, "oh, that guy probably stole that car. But I worked hard for these things, why do people feel they can assume something about someone else without knowing them?

I met a father who's three black daughters all married white men. He told me that he has no problem with this and loves each of their husbands as if they were his own sons. But sometimes wonders why not one of his daughters married a black man.

He claims to have been a good father and has shown his daughters by example of what a good black man should be, but by judging who all his daughters chose to marry he wonders what happened. Did his daughters not find black men to be good enough or maybe not goodlooking enough. Do you think that he has the right to ask why his daughters didn't decide to marry a black men?
