I used to feel that way. If you work and don't particularly enjoy your job, the work week can seem to take forever. I think when you enjoy the work you do though, the work week seems to fly by just as quickly as the weekend does.
Life in general just seems to fly by. It's difficult for me to wrap my head around the fact that it's already 2007. 2007! The other day, I was cleaning around the house and found some Y2K stuff. I remember seeing a futuristic movie once. In one of the opening scenes, 1997 flashed on the screen and you could here the gasps in the audience, because 1997 was years and years away. Amazing.
All I can suggest is just start enjoying and taking in every moment of your weekend the second you leave work, because it does go by quickly.

Maybe because there are 5 days in a work week and only 2 for a weekend.

Time is not, as most of us think, a fixed thing. It can vary. When we are enjoying ourselves it appears to pass very quickly and visa versa if we are bored or completing tedious tasks. this phenomena is of course an impression in the mind but in fact time goes slower the faster you go. The difference at the sort of speeds we achieve in earth is not noticeable but when you have satelites which go round the earth a very fast speeds the clocks in them have to be adjusted every so often to allow for the time difference.

Just see what u r lacking and try to get yourself updated in the field of your work.
There are just 24 hours each days all round the years.
View your thoughts/imagination from a different perspective.

Because you believe it goes by quickly. If you don't believe it, it wont be true. You have a whole day ahead of you (if you're in the U.S.)
