And why is it when someone asks you to give them 50p for a cup of tea, you never actually get that cup of tea? lol

They want 20p towards a pint. I get this a lot too. A guy asked me for £2 so he could go to Knaresborough 2 days ago. He said he had lost his return ticket and had been waiting in the bus station for 2 hours asking for money for another one but nobody would give him any. When I told him I was going there myself and that we could get the bus together and that I would pay for both tickets he suddenly remembered he did not want to go there just yet...

Cuz a pound later, they have enough for a brewsky. In the US, we call that bumming, till they get the money for their nightly beer. I was in a parking lot when this bum asked for 90 cents for busfare. I told him I had no change. I stayed and watched. Within 30 minutes, I bet he made at least $9.00. I guess he was collecting for a long bus ride out of state. lol
