once in a while i do give a dollar, but this day i didnt

and I work in downtown L.A. and I went to a Subway after work for dinner; I was sitting at a small table eating and there were a few people waiting for their sandwhich- no one else; this mid-aged 'homeless' guy came in the Subway, and, like a robot with a homing device on me, walked past everyone else and straight to me to ask to share some money; im eating- obvious i have some- sh*t!

your story?

I ASK THIS QUESTION BECAUSE I HAVE NOTICED THAT MOST PEOPLE WON'T GIVE UNLESS THEY KNOW THAT THEY ARE GETTING SOMETHING IN RETURN . HOW DO YOU FEEL.

The abuse of child, whether it is sexual or not, is and has been common place in the Catholic faith. I had the awful experience but now live a fullfilling life. Would enjoy hearing from others and how they recovered.
PS IF you a STILL an abusor/abusee Catholic, I'm don't want you criticism.

She has not lost her job, she has minimal living expenses, and works at one of the better paying places in our area. I stopped and asked her what happened since payday was just two days before, she told me hush and move on, I was ruining her 'flagging.' When I saw her at work, she said she gets more money flagging than working. She is even calling off work to do this now. Her boyfriend went to jail a while back and just got out. She made him prove he was a changed man by going without drinking for 1 week and then let him move in with her at the low-cost motel. She stinks, she looks bad, and she is manipulative.

But my problem is this...Why does it bother me so much?! I am so upset and this is absolutely none of my business! I already know that.

I wish I could stand next to her with a sign that says "She is gainfully employed and is stealing your money."

My question is...How do I let this go?

I get bummed out from time to time because things aren't going as great in my life as I wish they were at the moment. I don't currently have a girlfriend. I don't have a high paying job. I don't drive a new car or live in a 'cool' apartment. I'm in debt. Poor me. To try and put things inperspective, I decided to make a list in my head of all the positive things in my life and one of the negative, or should I say, challenges to overcome. When I thought deeply about it, the list of positives was far longer than the list of negatives. I once thought it was lame and corny when some people emphasized the 'power of positive thinking', but I can confidently say now that I have joined the ranks of the believers. Yes, there are times where it's hard to look on the brighter side, but what are the options? Would we want to overcome our discouragement, or be overcome BY our discouragement? So things aren't perfect. SO WHAT?! Why do we mope about thing when so many others have it worse than we do?

She also wanted me to tell the people that she wants to do the most nasty disgusting thing possible to me. So what do you think she should do?

I like the fact that you realize how human everybody is. You get a chance to talk about very personal things without revealing your identity & yo are able to learn from others & gain a better understanding about life or whatever else it is! You get to share your story or share another persons story...
& you get to kill time at work lol!

Serious Answers ONLY please. My boyfriend is a hard worker when he can find a job. He has an Arson charge on him I'm not sure if its a felony or not but seeing how he was in TDJC I'm guessing it was. He says its hard for him to get them to call him back after the interviews because he tells the truth on his applications. He has had only grocery stocking jobs since he got out. He is willing to do Warehouse jobs but everyone he's been to does a background check. Can someone please help me so I can help him find a good job so we can actually pay our bills and have a little bit of money left???

do you think that being nice, and explaining it over and over again even when they don't listen is best
or do you think harshly telling them, or banning them right away is best. Please give reasons and experiences
