Why should they be paid tens of millions when people who are hardworking like teachers or nurses get paid next to nothing compared to them.

I hear tons of rumors that major companies like abercrombie or gap actually own hot topic.
Does anyone know if this is true?
I looked through some things on their website but couldn't find anything. Although I suppose if they did link themselves to a company such as abercrombie they might lose many of their customers

I'm a white girl of Italian heritage who absolutely adores Hispanic culture. My first CD was by Selena, I started learning Spanish in 5th grade and then took classes from 7-10th grade. I've always dated/been interested in Hispanic men (my current boyfriend is from Mexico), I love Latin music (especially Reggaeton), I've wanted to visit Puerto Rico for the longest time now, and I always find books/movies that feature Hispanic characters to be much more appealing. I'm really fascinated with the whole culture. A lot of my friends and family make fun of me. They're always like "Jen, you're white! Not Puerto Rican! Stop with that music!"

So I was just curious. When Hispanic people see a white girl who really takes an interest in their culture, do they think "Hey, that's pretty cool" or "She's white and needs to get a life." I don't try to pretend that I'm Hispanic, I just have a genuine interest in the culture.

Thanks for the help. :)

I don't really fit the image of the typical high schooler.

1. I have no interest in fashion at all. My hair is unstyled, my fair is free of makeup, and I tend to wear plainer clothes. Basically, I'm rather low-key in appearance.

2. My tastes and interests don't exactly fit the norm. I'm sure there are other teens who share my interests but I'm definitely not part of the majority.

3. In middle school, particularily in 8th grade, the "popular" kids looked down on me because of these reasons. I could live being ignored, but it was worse than that. Certain kids would mock me as if I was completely unaware of anything and wouldn't be effected by it.

Now, I don't want to become what I scorn, but at times the way they treat me is too much to bear.

How can I maintain my identity and integrity without becoming the mockery of the whole school?

I don't mean this to sound racist or anything, but any time I've ever eaten at an Indian restaurant, I feel like I'm treated rudely and not like a welcome guest. (I'm a caucasian american.) Is there something about Indian culture that is different regarding manners or do they not like to serve white americans?

Personally I love getting high, but some people who've smoked before don't ever want to do it it again. I guess I can understand that. Is (or was) getting high a good or bad experience for you?

It seems that there is a flux of people not caring about privacy - not only involuntarily (such as the Patriot Act) but also voluntarily (such as livejournal, blogging, and myspace). You always hear stories about bosses finding out employees' dirty secrets on the internet - i was just wondering what people think about this?
