Congratulations to you and your wife for waiting for each other! My husband and I married in our mid 30s, and we waited too.

Our society has cheapened sexuality to the point that sex is a recreational activity, just like going to the movies or out to dinner. When young girls meet a girl their age who is a virgin, they are shocked at her ability to say no. Some young girls have sex to get and keep a boyfriend because if they don't, they know the guy can find a girl who will.

I don't think virginity is old fashioned. I think it's mentally and physically healthy. All you have to do is click on the STD section or the Relationship section in Yahoo Answers to see what losing your viginity and sleeping around has done to our society. It has made people sad, lonely, and in many cases chronically or terminally ill.

An entire generation has been cheated out of one of the greatest joys of life, a healthy sexual relationship within marriage. They don't know it, though, because they've never had a chance to experience it. What a tragedy for all of us.

Does Virginity still mean anything? ......i believe there has been no changes to the dictionary explanation for the word Virginity,
1. The quality or condition of being a virgin.
2. The state of being pure, unsullied, or untouched.
and because you were virgins when you married doesnt make you "old fashioned" it makes you "virgins when u married"

To the world, I think it is for "old fashioned" people. But is means a heck of a lot to me, so I salute you and your wife for your appreciation of virginity.

It's such a shame that our society makes it so difficult for the youth of today to maintain sexual purity. I'm 23, so I've experienced the societal pressures, and I'm studying to be a priest in the Catholic Church, so I hear it all the time... "Sexuality = freedom." The truth is that sexuality can be an addiction, and there's no freedom in that.

God bless!

are you saying you still are because if you still are and your married thats a little creepy but if you're saying that you were until you were married i dont think that that is just for "old-fashioned" people. I dont plan on having sex untill I fall in love.

I wish there were more decent people out there like you that were brought up with morals. You should be proud.
