You should try ear candling.
It's so relaxing and easy to do. You have to have a partner to help. You can buy ear candles at most health food stores for a couple bucks.

It's not relaxing for me, simply necessary...if I don't want to feel like when your ears don't pop, but they're about to...

Having seen ruptured ear drums, impacted ear wax and impacted cotton in peoples ears caused by the use of cotton swabs, I have to disagree.

Nothing weird about it.
The ear is an erogenous zone.

i like it personally... but it's really not healthy (alternatives like ear candling aren't either)
your body produces it for a reason, it protects like mucus. you can permanantly damage your eardrum, and by putting a cotton swab in the canal you're pushing wax farther in.

No...most do I asume, BUT in all honesty, we must be very careful not to push back any unwanted dirt/wax that can cause infection.

sometimes i use qtips or i use this very thin metal rod with a little indent on the end to scrape out the earwax but it is not as soothing as a qtip! and it is much more painful
