In my french composition (posted earlier) I put...

Il n'est pas petit ou grand...

people responded saying that that is wrong, putting Il est ni petit ni grand...is this correct in an American high school...it's not just regional to a specific part of FR.

THANKS!

According to babel translator (I know it's not a perfect system) but they list the words "mas" and "pero" as both meaning "but". I was curious as to whether those two words are interchangeable or whether you use them at certain times. Also, how do you differentiate the pronunciation of the spanish words "mas" and "más" .

I have heard if you know Standard German, you can learn Swiss-German in a matter of months. Despite it's difficult sounds that they say you need a knot in your tongue to pronounce!
Maybe one of you has had experience with learning Swiss-German?
