Hi, I'm Brandon and I speak Spanish, I live in Spain. I have been studying English since January, because I like it!. I would like learning English very fast, but Here in Spain is very hard, because in my house there are nobody that can talk with me jejeje, but I'm making an effort to write here.

Well, I have a question for you, this question is for the people that understand Spanish.

"In Spanish we have a word called "ya" and I don't how to express it in English ; I'm going to write some examples here for you (I hope that you can understand me)

In Spanish:

Yo ya estoy listo!
sales ya?
Yo ya me he comido la cena
Ya lo verás!
Ya lo conozco a él!

Ho, Can you help me? I don't know how to express it in English, Many times in some sentences I write the word "now", but it is not useful in some sentences.

I've often wondered if foreigners recognize the difference in accents within the United States. For example, the people in Texas, talk totally different from the people in New York. Also, I wonder how our accents are perceived in other countries.

I have an Alevel french oral exam soon and i was wondering if anyone could tell me any useful general expressions that could impress the examiner??

I want to move away from je pense que etc...

Subjuctive phrases are problably the best eg quoi-qu'il-en soit etc, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im especially looking for things which mean i think that but at a higher level than croire, penser, trouver etc.

Also, are there any general idiomatic expressions that i could use to impress the examiner??

My elderly neighbour has Autzheimers, he went out yesterday afternoon leaving "Kerida Amor" written on a piece of paper, on the puzzle in his front room, for his wife to find.
He has not come home. Police helicopters and dogs have been out all night, hospitals have been phoned, but he hasn't been found.
I have looked on the internet and can only find "Adio Kerida" which I think translates to "farewell my love" I think it is Cuban.
Does anyone know what it means?

Is there any other language besides English in which there are words that SOUND exactly the same but are spelled differently? AND have completely different meanings?

Examples in English: tow and toe -- blue and blew -- aloud and allowed -- to, too and two --

It gets so confusing for foreigners learning English, I know, but I am wondering if this is common in other languages where you might think you are saying one thing, when in fact you are saying something entirely different.

Anyone have any examples for me? If this is not the case, please tell me in which language you have knowledge of this.
