I was offered French and Spanish in Middle shool to take for a year. When I got to High School Latin was added. I'm currently a Freshman and I'm really into foreign languages. I'm taking French II and Latin I this yaer. I am going to take up to French V, the highest offered and take four years of Latin, two being Advanced Placement because it is so hard. I'm also learning some German and Italian on my own and taking a college class for Russian next summer. I also plan on taking two years of Spanish my Junior and Senior years. If you are asking to find out what to take, i suggest French. 76% of English comes from French, for example, can you translate part of this: Je encris difficile e-mail? It says: I write a difficult e-mail. Je is non-occuring in english, but encris became enscribe, difficile-difficult, e-mail stayed. I you just want to know, I love French and it was the first language I took.

We lived closer to Canada when my brother was learning a foreign language, so he learned French.
Since he was learning French, I went ahead and studied Spanish... this became even more useful when my family moved to Texas.
My little sister, tired of all the Spanish around her, chose to learn French when she was in school.
All 3 of us also went to Hebrew school, no matter which state we lived in.
**EDIT** Currently, I am working on learning Sign Language (ASL as well as Signed English).

Spanish. I may pick up learning it again, especially I decide to move to the Southwestern section of the US or go to Spain. LOL. A couple of years ago I made a list of a whole bunch of languages I wanted to learn I had to cut it down to like 3 or 4 of them. I know some words in various languages. My sisters took French so I know some French words, and one of my sisters tried to learn Japanese so I know konichiwa and a couple of other Japanese words.

In primary school I had English and German (Native Danish)
And in High school I had English and Italian.
In Denmark we have to learn 2 foreign languages in Primary school and 2 in high school, which can be the same as the one in primary school.
I've later learned Spanish in a language school in Guatemala
