Hey, I'm a student at high school and I've decided to study an unusual language such as chinese or japanese. Is there anyone who can tell me something about learning these languages because I still can't make up my mind...I've listened to foreign radios and I guess japanese is much easier to repeat than chinese but I seem to like challenges...;)

english? If you immigrate here legally, by CHOICE, then shouldn't they make the effort to become familiar with our country's language and customs?
I don't know how many times I've called people at my job, and they answer the phone "hello" and I start speaking IN ENGLISH (because that's how they greeted me) and then they interrupt me and go "Oh, no speak-a english" or what have you. Well, if you answered the phone IN ENGLISH, what did you EXPECT me to speak to you in??!!
Do you think it's right that the U.S. caters to other cultures, to include us learning foreign languages, when they immigrate here and refuse to learn ours?

────Can We Live A Life without a television
──In the fast-paced society, a wide range of high technology products making our lives more convenient fill with our daily lives, such as television, video game, computer, refrigerator, cell phone and so on. Among them, one of the most common technological products, undoubtedly, is television. Nearly every family in Taiwan has one or more televisions, as a result, television has a rather impact on our every life. Not only is television one of our leisure-time activities but also our good friend supplying us with a wide range variety of latest information and news.
──I think we can not live in the world without any television. Without a television, we will feel bored and have no joy and recreation; most important of all, we will lose vital sources of information as though we would live in the dark. Only selecting good programs and watching television in moderation can we prevent any negative effect that a television causes.
──Again, in conclusion, we fail to live a life without a television since it spices up our lives, playing a quite important and indispensable character in our daily lives.

Apparently, the 'American' accent is technically the neutral pronunciations, meaning the easiest way to pronounce the words with the mouth. I can't immagine that english developed straight into having akward British pronounciations without being refined from something easier that would develop more naturally. So, was there a period when the neutral accent was dominant, and a transition to the British accent as people became more educated and aristocratic? Is the neutral accent used anywhere within the UK today (other than in American Embassies)?

"Ricordo Di Roma" It is found on the front of a rosary box that contained a cross, blessed by the Pope. The box is at least 30 years old. The box has an engraving of a city (Rome?)

From my point of view, among all languages the most beautiful is Spanish, English and French. I speak spanish, and I'm learning English, but I would like learning French too, although it is for the future, because one by one is better.

Do you know Spanish? Which language is the most beautiful?

Excuse me for my several mistakes. Little greetings.
