I keep trying to find anything remotely like a symbol dictionary to look through but its becoming impossible to search for a picture...

Thanks for trying if any of you can't come up with anything.

I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem if I could talk to someone who knows Japanese or Chinese fluently. Especially the symbol part of the language...

I'm learning English.
I read a textbook called "Family Ablum USA".

In the book, Richard tells alaxthander that his father's a doctor.
then alaxthander meet Richard's father hours later and say "Richard tells me you're a doctor".
why doesn't she say "Richard told me you're a doctor"?

why tells, but not told? didn't it happen in the past?

I'm a native Spanish speaker, but it's more like Tex-Mex around here. I need to know the proper way to say "mini-blinds." I'm talking about the horizontal white blinds that you put on windows. I use "cortinas" but that's technically "curtains," I think. Thanks for any input!

Soy boricua y hablo español, pero todos hablan "Tex Mex" aquí. ¿Como se dice "mini-blinds" en español? Digo "cortinas" pero cortinas son "curtains," verdad? Gracias por contestar!

I've been studying German for 3 (high school) years, and I have yet to figure out when to use "kein" and when to use "nicht."

For example: Ich bin keine Aerztin vs. Ich bin nicht eine Aerztin.

I know that it's Ich bin keine Aerztin, but I don't know when to use which aside from that situation, and "sein" situations in general.

Could someone explain to me when to use "kein" and when to use "nicht"?

Do I just conjugate it like the regular verb " ir "? Or do I need to do something different? I really appreciate your help! Thanks so much! Bye. Oh and by the way we are conjugating it in the present tense.
