I keep trying to find anything remotely like a symbol dictionary to look through but its becoming impossible to search for a picture...

Thanks for trying if any of you can't come up with anything.

I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem if I could talk to someone who knows Japanese or Chinese fluently. Especially the symbol part of the language...

I think its Japanese.

is a chinese character but could be japanese too because japanese and chinese have many similar characters.

it means 'flat' in english and is pronounce as 'ping' in mandarin

It means FLAT or PEACEFUL
In Japanese, You pronounce it; Pei or Byou
Chinese; ping
Korean:pyeong

if it is Chinese then here is what it is read píng / 平 and can mean all these : flat / level / equal / to make the same score / to tie / to draw / calm / peaceful
