english has always been our official language and it should stay that way...if people come to this country to live or visit they need to learn our language...we should not have to teach our children spanish just to get an education..spanish parents should be responsible for learning english and making sure their children learn it ...why should our school systems have to foot the bill to teach these kids our english...that is taking away money that is supposed to be used to educate our american children...learn english!!!!it is the only language for america

I dunno... How do other countries feel about their national languages??? Only language I know... What do you suppose French people think about French????? Except for the native Americans, who we promptly corraled and exterminated, English has ALWAYS been the official language of this country, no reason to change it now...Guess we are getting a dose of how they must have felt....

i am for it.. but we would probably then need a bureaucracy to maintain the language (define it and decide what proper usage is)
