Please explain me at much detailed as possible. I want to know the exact meaning, but also why (in the past) the English speaking people can think of this phrase/idiom.

Thank you very much.

Hello, Im looking to stay one month in France to improve my french. I would like to "live" in a culturally interesting city. (Tried Paris but want to try something else with friendlier people). Ive read about Toulouse, Dijon, Strasbourg.. any comments about those places??

If you can provide me with names of schools with intensive courses would be great!. (I have checked the Alliance Francaise 30 hours per month, is it worthy? are they a good school??.

My boyfriend lives in Israel and got a great job there, so I am moving too. But almost everyone in Israel speaks either Hebrew or Russian or Arabic, so I thought Hebrew would be best.

I got a violation for this before - why? anyway, never mind, here's the question, with some context.

I was on a train at the time, and had just come back to my seat from the loo. This point bothers me every time I use a train toilet: how is it that we know how to pronounce Push To Flush?

Why is it poosh to fluh-sh?
why not puh-sh to floosh?
or poosh to floosh?
or puh-sh to fluh-sh?

By oo I obviously mean oo as in boot, and for uh I mean u as in *&%$
