In the Richard Adams book, The Girl In A Swing, I am unsure how the wifes' name is pronounced. It's spelled Kathe with the double-dot thing over the a. I'm assuming it's a German name since the character is German. Could anyone help me with exactly how to pronounce that name?

Is this good to forget or not speak your mother language and switch your mother language.. i mean American people has so many languages and people's next generations won't know how to speak their mother languages.....

How is it true... I'm Punjabi guy and my first language is Punjabi and my future generations won't speak Punjabi... Is it good to forget our language?
