I have such a thing for accents. Not just from other countries either. My husband is New York Puerto Rican and I freakin LOVE the way he talks. What is YOUR favorite accent and why?

haha... i live in south texas, and speak english and spanish fluently. However, i was dating a guy from nicaragua, and our accents were different when we spoke spanish. *wow* I miss his accent. I guess I'd have to say... i'm a sucker for any accent that falls into a "latin" category. ;)

I'm from the South, but I'm living in Germany on an Army base. Listening to a Southern accent is sexy to me, but I think it's just cause it's reminds me of home.
Personally, I love any accent on a person that's confident in themselves and where they're from. I'm not big on New England accents-especially New York and Boston, but I've met guys that were proud of how they sounded from there, and they actually made it sound cute. It's the confidence behind the way they're talking that really makes a difference, and like in many other things, confidence is sexy.

Southern accents! Particularly those from the Carolina/Georgia Lowcountry. Broad, rugged Scottish accents and deep-voiced Irish accents are also great for guys.

There is just something so sexy about a man with a British accent. I don't know if it's that they sound so proper or if it's because most of the British men I've heard have such a soothing timbre to their voice.... mmm, melts me like buttah, babay. :)

I like English spoken by some India's people (like my husband, hehehe). It's a mix of British aristocratic accent and some foreigner pronunciation.

I love southern accents! Also, my husband spent 2 years in Brazil and I *LOVE* it when he talks to me in Portuguese, if only he'd do that more often ;)

wait! if you're from the south and you hear a southern accent... it wouldn't seem a like an accent. it's just normal.
i'd vote a british accent.. and french.
