above the 'g' in sag is a slash. Also there are slashes over the o and u in "sokuk". I'm not sure if the i's are just dotted in dikisi or if those are hashes too.

I mean, like when I read some books and their translated texts, in Chinese or Japanese, for example, the title of the original version of the book is "sad story", but when they are translated into Spanish, English, French or German, they will name the title as " story of miserable life", " life without hopes" something like that. I wonder, why don't the translators just call it sad story? It seems to me that Asian writing style tends to use less words while Western one tries to use more words to make the concept abstract. I am just curious and wanna know more about this. Thankyou!

I imagine you could express anything with fewer than 10 verbs using adverb modifiers, but a google search turned up nothing.

Should the U.S. start to print signs, or voice recordings etc. (I know they do a lot in spanish already) in other languages such as polish, chinese, arabic just to accommodate immigrants? Or should learning English be recquired for citizenship?

The other cultures would still be allowed to speak in their foreign toungue, and take place in tratditions or rituals

If we were to do this, what do you think the outcome would be?

I'm guessing it's Arabic, since so many people are Muslim and Muslims have to know Arabic to read the Koran correctly. My second guess is English since that's the international language.

If we have an official language, what should it be? From my experience, most people will just answer with whatever language they happen to already know. Wouldn't it be better to scientifically pick the best language and have everyone use it? How about inventing a new language from scratch that isn't all messed up like the existing languages?

Since it's confusing and inconvenient to have more than one language, should the UN require everyone on the planet to use the same language?
