it's is the birth of Jesus Christ.
it's not about christmas dinners, annoying lights on your house,
it's not about who got the ps3 or xbox 360 or watever little spoiled kids want for christmas. thats that

Italians...What are the major Holidays and Fetivals in Italy? Compared to the United States?
I've always been curious.

What are the different holidays and festivals, and how do they compare to those that are celebrated in the United States?

I hope they have Christmas!
Oh, and what are they called so I could research them in the future?

I haven't seen anyone ask this question yet, so, how many christmas lights do you hang outside each year? As in strands though, not bulbs. For us it is about 105 sets(strands).

I have no money, but a check is on it's way to me. It should have been in on Saturday, but it didn't come in. I can't wait till tomorrow for this check, it's very important, I have no food and no gas to get to work tomorrow, and I go to work before the mail gets here. Is there any way I can get that check today! I need to eat, i'm diabetic!

We've set a spending limit of $75, and she is very much a "gifts" person, and looks for the thought and effort behind a gift. Any suggestions?

Assalaam Alaykum

So I understand it is the man's job to provide and Insha'Allah they will be rewarded for their efforts. However having a conversation with someone they informed me that even though the woman helps to provide and does it for thesake of Allah (swt), i.e. helping parnets, they would not get rewarded as much as it is the man's job....

Im very confused as when I relate it to my situation I do my upmost best to help my parnets, as it is a commandment from Allah (wt) to keep them happy and to obey them.

My question is, is there any evidnce for what this person has said to me???

it goes, "Santa can you hear me?
I have been so good this year
and all I want is one thing,
tell me my true love is here.
He's all I want,
just for me.
underneath my christmas tree,
I'll be waiting here...
Santa that's my only wish this year.

What is the title of the song and who's the artist?

I need help coming up with what to do for my 17th b-day. I was thinking about maybe lasertag, b/c it's turbo-fun, but i dunno. Here's some general info that might help with your suggestions:
-It will be boys and girls
-None of us smoke or drink, or anything like that.
-I don't want to spend a whole lot of money
-Please no spin-the-bottle type games
-It's in the middle of December, so it'll be too cold to do a lot of outdoors things.

I'm 20 years old, I have my own income. My parents are Muslim, although their religion is not perfect, alhamdulillah they pray. But they are very traditional people and they like to interfere in my life, and try to decide everything for me. I know as a Muslim I should listen to them unless they command me something that is against Islam, but what if they command me something that is not directly against Islam but will effect my feelings, and maybe my religion? Do I always need to listen to them?

If it happens that I'm not directly disobedient, but I try to persuade them that my way is right, am I sinful? Let's say if they forbid me something just like that, without knowing anything about it?

Hey. One of my best friends called me last night and invited me to Christmas Dinner with her and her family. She didn't like the thought of me being alone on Christmas (no family) so she invited me to spend it with hers. I'd like to get a really nice gift for her Dad and his wife as a thank you for inviting me to have Christmas Dinner with them. Anyone have any ideas? They are in their late 50's - 60's, if that would make a difference. I don't know them all that well, so I wouldn't want anything TOOOO personal - if that makes sense. I'm usually pretty good with this kind of thing, but I'm drawing a complete blank! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
